time for another update, figured this is the best place to put it.So I wrote a small wall in October 2014 about how things were going and now that I'm out of IEM Taipei it's a good time to write about what's up. Going into the open bracket I was really confident, I had just qualified for Premier and won the OSC Global Allstars tournament without dropping a map, 90%+ zvz winrate in online tournaments ~2 weeks before IEM, hit my personal aligulac rating all time high and in general feeling really good. No terrans to fall to (still working on that match-up hehe), lots of Zergs ... new fun maps ... yay! Unfortunately I got a really nasty cold and wasn't able to do proper exercise for a week before my flight... lame T_T ... so my traps and lower back were hurting a lot during the tournament >_< kept spacing out and made a lot of bad mistakes despite having prepared some good builds and transitions ... but not gonna sulk too much about it ... !The carpal tunnel-ish pains I mentioned in my previous post back in October are long gone thanks to respecting it and exercise. I can recommend taking it easy, stretching, and cardio. Respect the tells of your body if you're feeling that something's up! Minus the nasty cold before IEM (sigh..) I've also been making a lot of progress by hitting the gym 3 times a week and eating a bit more healthy, it seems to be paying off in the results, at least some ![]() Anyway while on the brighter side, some big changes coming in my personal life, I've finally saved enough tournament winnings for that entry-level apartment in Norway and after months and months of losing bids it finally worked!!! now I can practice more, stream more consistently (especially for longer at a time) and hopefully recover faster after travels. And start playing in more online tournaments again!! A lot of people have especially been asking me about streaming, it should be a lot easier to do now once I'm done moving in late February. Really excited for this as a whole, hoping the new conditions and improved habits will help my skill a lot!Special thanks to RiChY for housing me these past 3 weeks before IEM Taipei and providing the playing conditions I needed to perform in WCS. My parents were moving and the new house still doesn't have internet... T_T. As for this IEM I really really wanted to do well, I felt like my shape was so, so good, besides the health ... I guess it wasn't meant to be, but maybe the next one? Always doing my best to win in ups n downs see you soon and thanks for cheering for me always! | ||
