Matkap had a good point that Fin first got famous by winning just a couple best of threes, but theres also no need for that negative tone when calling him overrated... Regardless of the results today, he is still a good player and i look forward to watching him tear up code A again.

People who doubt him should read his history pre MSL arena and his run of Arena MSL, he was a different case than anyone, just like the song pretender says

(ironically the song kinda summed his bw career even if it was a coincidence)

In fOrGG's case its rather the matter if he gets the passion/motivation/insiparation to be on top again, still its unclear why he left bw midway the season, if he will get it sorted out he will become top sc2 player, top1 ? dunno but solid Code S player for sure.

The fact is bw dynamics are COMPLETELY different than sc2, so his most impressive trait which was timing attacks/build order counters/macro mode are still in infacy compared to his prime in bw. His holes in gameplay was showed on his stream and it showed in his games today.

Let this guy figure his stuff and we MAY (or may not, i dont know the future) see totally different styles happening in sc2, that will invigorate current competition. His 6 rax marine pressure vs Kal was one of the most invigorating stuff in 2008. His timing attacks cought people who were said to be an S-class. That says something!

This guy didnt fluke Flash, Kal, Jaedong (all series not bo1) to win his MSL despite all his haters say. Its that at that point in time (even if short!) he really was the best. He read Flash like a book, fought Kal in one of the most melodramatic series in modern bw and smashed Jaedong with timing attacks.

He was a funky player to watch but there was a brilliance in his MSL run and some people saw it, he couldnt reproduce it anymore, players are human after all and BW and SC2 are not linear, players got into slumping than come and win OSL (Jangbi ?) for example. If he ever reproduce even slight of the same brilliance he got in his glorious Starleague run suddenly this fanclub will have 200 pages. Lets hope for it.

So, Fin's run through GSL is narrowed. He had to realize, that current SC2 pros are worthy oponents. Hope that he will focus even more a show his potential.

I really was disappointed that he didn't use any of his allin timings that he spammed on stream and that I'm pretty sure he can do really well. I was really looking forward to seeing a multitasking harrassing style vs Leenock but even though the first game was okay, it still was really disappointing to me. Hopefully in the next season he is going to do those strategies that in my opinion suit him a bit better. It seems like he didn't prepare properly or do proper builds, for instance in my opinion against MC cloaked banshees would have been the correct play to do. In fact, I said that over year ago and I still think that cloaked banshee should be the opening you do vs MC. Even though nobody believed me back then, supernova demonstrated how well it can work against MCs super risky playstyle so I'll add that to the list of things I was correct about =P

I think he is still confused while playing sc2, i have a feeling like what he does he still dont understand fully yet, yes he could copy MVP etc But i guess he doesnt like to copy other players, he does his own stuff. Forgg is not a guy who makes a trending standard play, he is a player who ... plays his own style. I think his improvements or lack of it will be seen on his stream sooner or later.

You cant really abuse other player if you cant judge your current position in game(because then its just gambling), same thing happened when he went with 3 tanks in game 2 vs leenock, he got smashed he couldnt judge if he can or cant go out with this. Its clear lack of experience, understanding of more intimate timings that i dare to say no one yet discovered for SC2.

I can only recommend if you ladder that you keep it to the most solid safe standard play possible, where others cant get an idea of your specialized builds.

I'm sure if you kept the hellion/banshee build under wraps it could of helped greatly against leenock but since you ladder with it too much, it got too popular recently on ladder and even guys like startale.sound using it in tourneys as well as supernova today ..

yep thats just my advice.. and for example if you see IMmvp stream he is very secretive, and either offraces , or he will just play very standard to not limit his options... good luck
