Although he lost to Zest, the second game was really amazing.

I really loved watching it. It looked like it wouldn't have taken much to push that over into a win if played again. I'll have to get the vods to the other games after work. I hit the hay after game two. I couldn't believe he advanced, but it's TaeJa, so the next thought was ... of course he turned the tide, he always looks like he barely hangs on at defensive moments in his games.

Ironically, game 2 (ironic because he lost) was the truest throwback to his prime IMO. His end game army control (ghosts in particular) has always been other worldly. I thought from the beginning if he took it seriously, LOTV would be a perfect expansion for his defensive macro style. Terran have so many defensive units aimed at late game, and with TaeJa's abilities there, he could be truly dominant if he put forth what he needs to.

I feel with the game changing so much people movedd away from styles that were actually buffed.

Legendary twilight to his career that would be. 2nd GOAT at the very minimum should that happen. Case could be made for first.
