You have to understand that this has happened before. Back when Puzzle won Code A, everyone hailed him as the next Protoss hero but what ended up happening? He got smacked around by the big boy terrans and zergs at Code S and now he's playing in the up and downs (and will most likely be out next season). Code S is far more meaningful than Code A, that's just the way it is.

That's great and all, but you've got to realise this is a tournament where most of the best players aren't allowed to even play in by virtue of being in Code S. I'm hopeful for Oz, Sage and JYP, but they've gained attention for beating JookTo, Fruitdealer, Check, Yoda, Lucky, Byun and Superstar. They were inherently spared the risk of facing the top twenty Terrans or Nestea, Dongraegu, Leenock, Losira, July and Coca.

Well I only have Code A finals to look forward to for some new builds/strats/styles now. Hopefully up and downs only promote the deserving protoss, and the remainder zergs.

this, i think there has been more than enough top level games to statistically prove protoss just doesn't have the tools to compete at top level.

We just need to wait until HOTS, then.
In 16 days, the MP of HOTS will be fully revealed, so we can start to evaluate how Protoss will fare until the expansion is actually released (hopefully early next year).
