Today I hanged out with Leenock. Went eating lunch and then to a PCbang to play overwatch. Had a good time, fun to play games with friends.

Anyway he's planning on quitting pro gaming at the end of this year and start a more streaming route. He's quite tired of Starcraft at this point which is quite understandable considering how much he has played the game to this day. The idea is to stream different games (but primarly Overwatch) on both twitch and afreeca at the same time. He will still attend GSL qualifiers and see how he does but he won't try as hard anymore.

2017 will be like a different type of gaming year for him and then after that he will quit gaming as a profession probably.

Sad to hear the news about him being burn out, but as you said it's totally understandable. I'm not sure if the streaming thing will work out tho... it seems you have to be very famous in advance, or have some personality trait that gets people's attention, or looks, to be successful... Wishing him the best of luck nonetheless!!!

Hey if you haven't checked out Leenocks stream I recommend doing so. He talks English in his microphone if you write in chat. And he seem to stream pretty much every day as well so if you have some time over check it out!

Yeah, I dropped by his stream and I was surprised how good his English is. He enjoys talking to the chat, too, it's an entertaining stream.

Recently moved home from Korea and made a short last video of my final weeks there. Anyway Leenock makes a short cameo ~2.43. Was fun playing games with him.

He will retire after GSL Super Tournament he said it on stream.

I hope He will be the only retired player after GSLST.

I hanged out with him last year and he said that he will start his military service in 2018. So that's why he's retiring and Starcraft is not as lucrative as it was 5 years ago.

That is too bad but everyone has to go military service at some point in Korea. It is just matter of time.

Leenock is always a fun Z to watch. I guess this year doesn't yield any good results for him so he decided to go to military and move on.
