Lovely_US United States94 Posts March 27 2012 12:34 GMT #4369 That was a difficult game to watch... and Wolf and Khaldor pissed me off the whole game with their pure favoritism of Maru over Hero... At least try to not look completely biased... Calling Maru "relentless" or "killer of probes" is worse than when Artosis expresses his love of Nestea (which is annoying in itself). Artosis will call Nestea a god but will also talk about the other player, whereas you heard almost nothing about Hero while they talked about Maru for the most part (even the game that Hero won). It's frustrating to hear them talk because they miss a ton that actually occurs and don't have a good understanding of the meta-game. In the last game when Hero was able to save his Nexus, Maru teched incredibly hard after. He got 1-1, stim, combat shields, slow, and medivacs mostly off of 2 base while making scvs. He was able to get away with this because he had an SCV lead after that 2 rax (even if he didn't kill the nexus). Also, after he didn't kill the nexus, he had like 6 barracks running and was powering units nonstop to try and survive a 2 base all in by Hero (and didn't lose very many of them when he poked around the middle of the map). When he was going to secure his third most of those upgrades had already started or completed... As a result, for that brief moment in time if Hero had just gone for like a 7-8 gate bust Maru would just be dead. Instead, Hero went for a third base, which isn't the wrong decision by any means. However, for Wolf and Khaldor to be surprised when that push did a ton of damage and hyping it up was so annoying. Maru hit a great timing where all his upgrades finish before Hero's economy kicked in (only 6 gates and 1 robo) and his upgrades finished... Maru waits 1 more minute and that push does very little damage. I commend Maru for good play and actually bet he would get out of this group along with Hero. However, I feel that Wolf and Khaldor need to play more actual SC2 games or more carefully watch the games that they do cast... They're almost as bad as Moletrap, who even admits he doesn't understand ZvZ.

I was also disappointed by some of HerO's play, but I guess he was nervous being his first time in Code S, several uncharacteristic mistakes in both sets.
