At WCS Europe they broke the viewer record with 110k watching. Sc2 isn't struggling but there is so many tournaments that people simply don't got time to watch stream as much as they did before

I'm as hardcore as they come and some matchups just bore me to death now. So only the biggest of events will do well (like the GSL finals). Like Lonestar had 40k last time? don't think it will reach that this time. Viewership is not growing much I think, and if Hots sucks then it'll be a big problem. Sad that Stephano doesn't think Hots is any good right now ("shitty" as he said). Problem is there's no action for first 10 mins a lot of games, and also the action and gameflow is so predictable a lot of the time.. not enough variety. I'm also just not feeling stephano's stream today.. could be the music and the graphics look dark for some reason.. and the lag ugh. Also the 100k for WCS EU - I wonder how much of that was Stephano.. I'd like to think he added 20k, maybe even 25k viewers. Without Stephano, SC2 woulda been almost doomed?? Or it's that fanboy bias [NASL consistently averaging 4k viewers or less (no growth / decline from last season) is really sad.. disregarding the NASL issues] Anyway sorry for the pessimism, who are you guys rooting for Sat.? I say Life takes it.. he really is a zerg genius like Stephano.. And Idra thinks Life's ZvT style is easily countered, and we know he's doesn't know anything.

Nope, suspended from playing tournaments as well, unless they changed their minds on that.

The honeymoon period for SC 2 eSports has been over for a while. It's no longer 'novel' the way it was 1-2 years ago. People who had their first shots of eSports through SC 2 are getting bored and moving on. This was going to happen however the scene developed. Now we see how resilient SC 2 eSports is.

http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=376563 "In terms of confidence, Life lands in a zone that is presently occupied by only one other player in the world. Let's break down the five zones of confidence in the Starcraft 2: ... Level Five (The Lifephano Zone): This is a zone where only two people share a room: Life and Stephano. It's a zone where total apathy and total confidence become hard to distinguish. Neither player seems to care who their opponent is, what tournament they're at, or what the score is. The difference might be that Stephano doesn't even seem to care about winning at some moments, whereas Life still wants to win at all costs (unless the Korean government is kicking him off the internet)." Hehe, Life is the closest to a Korean Stephano. Super confident and super good. He plays a heavy heavy ling style (but with banes mixed in) reminiscent of how Stephano used to be LingKing on the EU ladder. Should be the best match we have in a long time.. free on GOM.. don't miss it!
