Now I don't know about his financial situation other than his huge prize winning this past year, but it seems like Stephano almost needs to win if he ever wants to accomplish this goal. Most other pro's it seems are just winning to win. But Stephano is winning to get somewhere. I think that's what makes him so good. He knows that he has to breath this game, constantly think about it even when he doesn't have time to practice. Every tournament he enters, he knows he needs to win if he wants to reach his dream. And I think this is what drives him. I think you are mistaken, in France Med School is free (albeit you may pay a couple hundred for the subscription fees), you just have to pass the exams. He doesn't need to win tournaments to pay for his studies.

He uses the left side of his azerty AZEQSDWXC (it seemed azerty to me) like the positions of units at bottom left of your ingame screen. So like this.. A: drone Z: overlord E: zergling Q: roach S: hydra D: infestor W: muta X: corruptor C: ultra B: larva (so instead of "sdsdsd" to drone up, he uses "babababa") This is what I gathered from watching a few mins at his stream. Might not be accurate.

He plays so many games in tournaments (against extremely high caliber players) that his not practicing might not have a tremendous impact on his play. Tournaments have become, in effect, his "practice". In any event, whether he has been practicing or not, he certainly put in a hard day's work today! even if you play in a tournament every weak thats still not as many games as a Korean pro will grind out in a day if he absolutely stopped practicing hed still do well for a time he wouldnt rust immediately (hongun managed tog et to Ro4 GSL without practicing for instance) but your skills would start to degrade and youd have to practice much harder to even back on the level you were

And I think this is what drives him. You might not be aware that university fees are less than 400 euros per year in France since it's mostly paid by taxes and they are public... ( there are private schools at "university level" that are expensive like in north america, but not for medical studies ) So no, he does not need to win more than any other pro. EDIT: apparently i skipped a post in which someone already said this, so meh, sorry. we can't supress our own posts when they have no answer yet?
