MVP still the best terran in the world. Good games tonight and cant wait to see his games at providence.

No shame losing to the second best Terran in the world. There's still Blizzcon to take down, hard to feel bad for the guy knowing he'll leave the place with more money than MMA!
Hopefully he gets more fans from this, as well! The weaker cheers from the audience was pretty noticible...
I did cheer for MMA in the finals (sorry), but best of luck tomorrow! (not that he'll need it, being TvZ)

Even after the finals I feel MVP is the better overall player. His macro is pretty insane considering he plays that mech style TvT.. I wish he had more fans giving him support internationally. Even at MLG fans were so weak cheering for him it was kinda sad. He works so hard to be the player he is.

wow the results are surprising but i havent seen the mathces yet

Ya I agree. I was quite disappointed with the cheering for him when he was up on stage receiving the second place award. I am completely fine with people preferring MMA, I'm not even sure if I'm a bigger MMA or MVP fan to be honest, but the cheering seemed weak relative to some of the other cheers and I think they should have welcomed him better.

Its kind of saddening to hear so little fan support for MVP, really.
If I had to rank the champions from most and least popular, MVP would be the second least popular champion (Polt takes the cake)

I'm in depression. Seriously MVP is like my favourite player by a mile - nice smile, smart dude, meek, brilliant at BW, executes his builds with absolute domination etc. But he lost this GSL!!!!!!!! (((((
I'm yet to watch the VODS, but it seems (from the LR thread) he played really sloppy sigh......

Well with only like a tenth of the crowd supporting Mvp, I don't think he performed to the best of his ability with that little fan support. He clearly deserves more, a beast of a player.

As I remember he had a pretty impressive cheer after he won MLG Raleigh. He deserved more at the GSL finals at Blizzcon. I agree.

Can somebody explain to me how he can play GSL in Korea and Blizzcon in USA at the same time?

Was really amazing, crowd was fucking huge. € If someone doesn't have a premium account @ GOMTV and missed it you can watch the finals here: http://us.battle.net/blizzcon/en/live-stream/
Just click on GSL finals under archive

Yeah i don't like how he has so little cheers. I think its because hes just too dominating and hasn't been to enough foreign tournaments. Well, he can win blizzcon and mlg providence to get more widespread approval

I'm still cheering for MVP. One thing we have to remember that I think is being overlooked quite a bit is that MVP has to play in both Blizzcon and GSL finals. MMA only had to play the GSL finals so he was able to prepare for the last few weeks exclusively for MVP.
I just hope losing the finals doesn't throw off his groove too much. Really want to see him take Blizzcon now that he's lost the GSL finals.
Can't wait for his match against Nestea later. GO MVP!!!

Thx for info. I totally missed that. O.O

I feel that the massive crowd and how it favoured MMA so much probably affected his nerves. He's still my champion!

Quite sad he did not manage to win this GSL but..still..can you really say MVP is no more the best player in the world right now? I don't think so, he lost to a very very good player as MMA and the most of the games were still very balanced, despite MMA being so aggressive, MVP defence was stellar and his macro up to par..i feel like MMA won the 1st game as a build order win, then the other games he won he played sooo well, that dual sight game was showing MMA's dominance in bio play, but games 4 and 5 were so close. I still feel MVP is a huge step ahead of all of the players in the world, he just has to focus very well and keep his calm and he will succeed, he is the most soldi player of the world right now. Anyways, i'm looking forward to his matches vs his team mate NesTea and i really think he has a shot at defeating him, and showing everyone who he is. What i was very disappointed about this GSL finals tho, was the crowd response to MVP, most of the crowd was cheering for MMA, and MVP really had minor impact on the crowd and i don't really get it. Yes, usually the crowd cheers for the underdog, but i think there were no real underdogs in this final, yes MVP was really favored but MMA is just a phenomenal player, you cannot count him out. I really hope people will recognize more of MVP work, he might not be the most charming player in the world like MC, but his methodical play and perfection should really be enough to make people cheer for him..Even Flash is not a crowd pleaser but he is undisputedly the most followed player in the world, so i am convinced that if MVP can keep up winning tournaments and showing off his skill, more and more people will finally start to cheer for him! GO MVP!!!
|
Please fix your wrists, and I really hope you win every GSL afterwards!
You're definitely better than MMA!
|
Ugh, Losing to Nestea, c'mon MVP you gotta not fall apart!!!!!
Edit: People saying positions so imba b/c terran "auto wins" lategame, what everyone forgets is that zerg doesn't have to go macro, roach all ins are just as dangerous on close positions as any terran stim tank timing.
