CTS is not a disease, it's an injury. Surgery will probably offer some degree of improvement, but won't fix it 100%. Sometimes CTS surgery can actually make the problem worse. Regardless, it would mean he's completely out 1-3 months, and would have to take it easy for up to a year after that.
I have had issues with CTS for 4 years, and have had surgery. It's way more complicated than just getting surgery, waiting a month, and being back to 100%.
TT MVP!!! I LOVE YOU! i don't hink flash is taking it easy. Flash is Flash though. And I can well imagine Flash just ignoring the doctors (and his coach, if you believe the rumors) and just playing no matter what. But I think in this case it is not worth risking an even greater injury for Mvp. I thought Flash didn't play for 3 months after his surgery? Ofc there was no PL or MSL to practice for when he was out of action, but seeing as KeSPA are moving in to SC2 soon I think he should be able to take a break for a while and just get healed.
He supposedly just played SCII instead. And I don´t think the APM for SCII is much more healthy than the BW APM. A break would hurt Mvp greatly. And, even more important, we are not even at the point where fixing the CTS is possible.

I hope his wrists recover fast... I really enjoyed his style and play T.T...

so sick of players like mkp I would say MKP is quite unique. Dont you like his playstyle? Mvp said at the start of Season 1 that he wanted to win two more GSLs. He will be fighting! I wouldn't say he's unique. MMA has been doing MKP's playstle better and more efficiently. I just miss MVP's all around solidness though. MMA has a very different playstyle than MarineKing, lol. I know you're a huge fanboy of MMA and have an unrelenting hate against MarineKing but please don't be blinded by it. Not to mention this is the MVP fanclub so not sure why MarineKing hate would be justified. I think we'll be able to see MVP play well in GSL which is why I'm happy he didn't strain himself by going to IPL, even when injured he is easily a top3 Terran. How are they different? MMA has been using mass bio style against Zerg for a while now.

MMA relies on dropping, MKP relies on upfront play combined with insane micro(and rarely drops)
There's more to a playstyle than the mech/bio choice

Cannot wait, the thing I want most by far right now in the world of sc2 is Mvp's comeback.
Also can you guys take your pointless argument about players that are not Mvp to a different thread please.

1- CTS has varying degrees of symptoms, and its different for everyone. The pain IMMVP feels could be much worse than Flash.
2- You can always keep playing with CTS, its always possible. Its just not a good idea, as it will start to make your condition exponentially worse. If Flash is playing through his pain and making his condition worse, thats fine. Doesn't mean MVP should do the same thing.
|
Lets just hope that MVPs wrist condition can get better like it did for TLO. Hopefully they're not as bad as some in the thread describe CTS to be. If he returns, we will cheer him forward to victory!
|
Anyone knows if he's gone through surgery? As much as I hope MVP makes a total comeback and shows the world what a talented player he is, I'm afraid his bad condition can return once he starts practicing as before.
|
Few things would make me happier than MVP making a comeback and slapping these upstarts down to their rightful place

Why's this fanclub got people talking about pretenders to MVP's crown eh! =p
That IM facebook message is positive. I really hope the rest period has helped him enough, but I'm wary without surgery as to what he can do. If he rests he doesn't practice, if he practices he doesn't rest. It's almost a lose/lose at this point =(

After NesTea's fairly strong showing at IPL4, I'm very much looking forward to an Mvp comeback, I'm getting tired of players like aLive and MarineKing who don't innovate as much as Mvp did in 2011. I loved his meching style and his marine-tank was godly when he was on form.

That's the same style MVP plays his TvZs though...

I agree with the poster above and I won't mention him after this but really? You put MarineKing in the same category as Alive when it comes to innovation? I'd say the only player who innovates as much as MVP is MKP which is not surprising considering their friendship and the fact that they (used to) practice a lot together.

Yeah, that is why MMA does it, obviously.

MKP uses heavy bio for nearly all his play, only times he goes mech is to throw his opponent off, which is kind of a build order cheese.
