Hmmm....
+ Show Spoiler +I'm wondering if Boxer will actually try to come back through code B just to compete in GSL, or if he'll only be doing managing/coaching etc from now on. Also, notice the dissapointment going through the studio as boxer drops the last game...

.........boxer
its over for boxer. boxer will NOT make it through the code A qualifiers

Greatness has clearly aged you =(
I hope you enjoy a nice break and come back strong.

Everyone, ask Mr Chae to send BoxeR to MLG. It's a great idea because everyone would love to see him and he would be massively cheered, plus he can get Code S.

dw Boxer, our sweden superstar shall avenge you!

Sad day for Starcraft 2...

Someone said he doesn't play ladder much and mostly trains in customs.
Because he can't even attempt to try for Code A if he's not in Code B.
edit: someone in the LR thread explained that there are exceptions made for special cases, so Boxer can probably try and qualify for Code A in any case. whew!

Yeah... I highly doubt GOM will prohibit BoxeR from trying out in the qualificatoins XD
On a side note, I'm still not on the list for this fanclub. Get me in please!

well as long as he is coching his team im not that sad really....adn we will still see him in the nasl anyway
|
I am looking forward for his NASL games. No matter what happens, he's still the Emperor and will strike fear to his opponents! Losing will only make him stronger

You can get in if you're in master's, it's a case-by-case basis from what they were saying on the GSL. I'm sure they'd make an exception for Boxer either way.

If my heart could cry, it would ;_;

i hope boxer attend MLG and win to get Code S seed or get runner-up and hope the 1st place finisher is a Code S so he will automatically get code S
|
I just wish Boxer takes some time off, heal up his shoulder a bit. If he keeps this up it would only get worst. He is the Emperor, he is already in the hearts and minds of his fans, no other player can take that from him. Please take care of yourself Emperor, come back when your shoulder is better

In light of the recent controversy over some article from some site I don't even know the name of:
Dear Lim Yo Hwan, SlayerS_`Boxer`
How the time flies. I remember almost 10 years ago, being a junior in high school, spending countless hours sieging tanks, stimming marines, and scanning lurkers. It was around that time when I first heard mention of the competitive BW scene in South Korea. A friend of mine got me to watch a replay with him of two players I had never heard of before, a TvZ game. The Zerg had an expansion and was making lurkers and lings, and this Terran had 3barracks making nothing but marines and medics. What a fool that WoodJohn was; didn't he know he needed tanks to stop lurkers?
There were some small engagements early on, but the Z was morphing lurkers and this T had no factory to speak of. The end was surely coming. "Why are you even showing me this replay? He's going to get crushed." I was only half right; the end was indeed coming, but in a way I couldn't fathom. Where I led marines and medics to slaughter against similar Z tactics the units looked different in this game. The marines stimmed, spread out, moved fluidly, ran back, and kept picking off lurker after lurker, zergling after zergling. Where so many people seemed to think marine medic couldn't fight against lurkers, this Terran was cockily saying "is that so?". Whoever this T user was he had one young boy screaming "holy shit" and "wtf" until the Z typed GG.
Who would have thought I was watching the beginning of something truly magnificent? That Terran went on to win tournament after tournament, play incredible game after incredible game, all the while keeping fans happy with exciting replays. Lifting off an engineering bay to hide the nuke silo on the CC with a turret ring spread around the edges of your base to deny observer scouting leading up to using EMP and a Nuke to one-shot a Nexus? This was a player you couldn't help but love; had no choice but to cheer for.
And now, 10 years later, you're still here. Where other big names have risen and fallen and we're left to ponder "Whatever happened to that godly player?" the biggest player of all is still here. He's still playing the successor to BW, competing at the highest level of play, founding and helping to run one of the most successful pro-teams around. The nickname of "The Emperor" is rightfully given, nobody else deserves it.
Every time somebody from SlayerS plays a game, I cheer a little bit harder because that's your team. Every time I watch you play I think back to that WoodJohn replay and wonder "is this going to be the game he takes it to the next level? Am I going to be completely surprised by his brilliance yet again?"
I want to thank you for everything you've contributed to BW, SC2, and eSports as a whole. I want to commend you for your continued efforts and diligence in your career despite working through health issues. I want to wish you the best of luck in everything you do, every game you play, and every decision you make. And lastly, I want to assure you that even though there are many children out there that are quick to voice criticism and disappointment whenever you don't take 1st place at a tournament there are just as many of us watching and cheering for you whenever you play, regardless of the results. We know you're doing your best and after so many years, you haven't let us down yet.
Lim Yo Hwan fighting!
PS. When I was 15 years old (9 years ago) I had an english project for high school. The teacher let the students write about any topic of their choosing. I wrote my paper on competitive BW in South Korea, namely Lim Yo Hwan and Hong Jin Ho. Inviting [NC]..YellOw to SlayerS after his BW retirement was a beautiful gesture and brought an enormous smile to my face, regardless of if he accepts or not.
PPS. I don't even know the real names of NaDa or Flash or any other "successful" BW progamer... that's how far beyond the two of you are in my eyes.
