Holy shit, that was one of the largest upsets of the year, comparable to QXC's allkill. Beat MVP and Nestea in a Bo3? Damn son!

Im beyond impressed Naniwa.......... beating two of the best players in the world in a row and what an amazing way to do it. Like a boss! Hope you win the whole MLG now. But even if you don't you will forever be a legend.

Your the first foreigner to defeat both MVP and Nestea in a row in the same day.

I was planning on going to bed at 22:00CET but i felt like i really wanted to watch your games. Thanks for making it worth it staying up all night I get a feeling kinda like on new years eve from your performance..... ultra nerdchills. Keep being yourself naniwa! You are awesome!

When i realized you were actually winning game 3 against Nestea i had such a happy smile on my face and i almost choked on my own disbelief. You have made me a very happy man! <3 Sweden loves you!

Probably gonna faint from nerdchills now.

Honestly, I don't understand Naniwa's play.

For example, today, when he was fighting MVP in game 1, I felt that the way he was running around with his deathball like a headless chicken while at 200/200 was just... bad. And his engagements were... OK but not amazing.

And he fucking won like a boss in a crushing manner.

In the same way, I was totally underwhelmed by the way he played his first game against Nestea (and arguably, he lost convincingly). In his second game, his void rays were damn well countered (come on, the stargate to wall?) but he defeated Nestea in an impressive way.

And in game 3, the way he very cooly countered the 11 overpool mindgame with what appeared a suboptimal cannon defense, plus the push "I don't know how he can kill that much stuff with so little units" left me baffled.

So yeah, this post is confused, because so am I. And rightly so, because I simply fail to understand how strong Nani can be =)

If I recall correctly Naniwa was ahead in bases already. I think he was building more gateways so he could more quickly replenish his army after battles. (I think this because I noticed that after he was EMPed he ran back to his proxy pylon and warped in a ton of Zealots). It's playing to one of Protoss's strengths: their ability to quickly reinforce.

Just hope he won't let nerve issues screw him over like against lucky game 2.
And his late game p v z needs some work as well, for him to win!

I am calling it now, NaNi will be the first true bonjwa of sc2.

It may not happen for years, but it will be him.
A bold prediction, but I been following him for months and months now and I've just got a feeling about him. I was waiting for him to do something like this, and finally play up to his full potential.

And you know what's the best part? He legitimately doesn't care about this games, and will walk away from this feeling mad and disappointed if he doesn't do well also in MLG.

That, is the spirit of a winner.
