Been a hardcore Nani fan for ages now (since early dignitas days) and I am so happy to see Nani doing well! I know that this loss is really hard for naniwa, and I feel it's been a lot of 2nd place finishes where he 'almost' made it. But I also know that he'll look back at it in a few weeks from now as a great tournament. Nani hoped not to "get eliminated 0-3" in Ro8. He finished top 2, where all other foreigners placed LAST in groupstage. Where he was the ONLY foreigner, and ONLY non-zerg in the Ro4. And life is not just any korean. Sure Life hasn't crushed everything lately, but Life is one of the legends, he's up there with MVP, Nestea and Innovation. He's on another level. But it was sooo close games. Nani played great and after rooting for him for years it's nice to see the foreigners uniting behind him and embracing him as the foreign hero (I could go on a long rant about his gsl runs, and I still think he always was better than Stephano but anyway).
In short I just want to say - great plays Nani! Hyun is an extremely strong player and life is completely insane. You pushed him to the limit. He went 2x 3-0 in the finals brackets but you were *so* close to stopping him. Hope we'll see more in Blizzcon, and keep fighting! GGs

I barely even watch Starcraft anymore (caught the last two games tonight ._.) but you're still a fucking hero in my eyes.

If we assume soO wins the WCS Korea finals, he'll be at 2800. He'll need to advance from his group at S3 finals to ecplise Naniwa. If we assume Scarlett advances to from her group, she gets 300 more. If she makes the top 4, she'll get 250-750 more. For now, we assume she makes the top 8 and gets the 5th seed that means a spot at S3 finals. This also means another +500. She'll be at 3050. A third place finish in her group at S3 finals puts her ahead of Naniwa. If we assume HyuN advances from his group, he gets 300 more. If he makes the top 4, he'll make 250-750 more. Lets assume he places 3rd/4th. We add 250 to him + 500 for his S3 spot. That puts him at 3250, ahead of Naniwa. Naniwa is now at 16th. This one is almost a given. If we assume VortiX advances from his group in S3, he'll gell +500. For him to get past Naniwa, he needs to finish top 2. A 3rd/4th place would only give him 3150 points. If we assume Dear wins the WCS Korea finals (it's him vs soO), he'll be at 2250 including his +500 from S3 finals. He'll need to place 3rd/4th at the S3 finals to ecplise Naniwa.

can't believe nani went out in ro32 in wcs eu that just fucked everything up t.t

Naniwa!
Saw you at IEM today. Some really sick holds and amazing games overall. Better luck next time buddy.

i think he is alrdy out of blizzcon sad to say very sad
dear and soo wil get at least 1500 from the korea finals and seison finals
minimum is 500 + 1000
so dear wil have 50 points more then nani and soo will have 3800 points @ minimum
plz correct me if i am wrong but unless nani gets more points he is now 50 points short of making it
and there no way to get more points
|
he is now place 17 and cant go higher only vortix or that half men half woman thing (scarlet) can get more points
so this year nani get place 17 18 or 19 and that are the only options i think or is there something else possible ?
he is so unlucky that he played not good at last game in wcs
and that wcs korea fucked it al up with weird finals (dear vs soo) wtf

You are actually quite wrong, the currents standing is including the minimum of 500 points from the season finals and the minimum of 1000 points from korea finals.
Dear will have 2250 points if he win and would require to gain atleast 500+950 points from the season finals (atleast 4th place).
soO will have 2800 points if he win and would thus need 500+400 points from the season finals (atleast 8th place).
There are also the people from the NA region that can knock him down aswell.... only time will tell. But there is still a chance.

I know points are points, still feels wrong to have Nani not at Blizzcon somehow

Thanks for brining such great games and excitement to the tourney!

naniwa you are awesome.
the end.

Naniwa I generally don't root for you, or Protoss, but you played really well today. Very impressive, keep it up!
|
please never give up! naniwa, you are the current reason why I watch sc2! And I am not the only one. Never stop competing please

I just wanted to come and say that my girlfriend hates you Naniwa, with a burning passion. She's a huge Idra and Stephano fangirl (despite neither competing anymore).
She cheered for you today, and really wanted you to win. Perhaps you only care for those who stuck with you from the beginning (I rooted for Thorzain over you in TSL3. I'm sorry. o_o), but I think you should be proud that you have won over even some of the fiercest of haters.
Stand strong Naniwa!

Hes one of the hardest working foreigners, and hes been a part of the scene since forever. He's pretty much a staple at this point, a Blizzcon without Naniwa is an unfortunate thing. v_v
Don't be too down Nani, you played awesome and your fans still love you. <3 I WILL ALWAYS CHEER FOR YOU!

We are all proud of you, Naniwa Fantastic performance

I'm not a hardcore fan, but each time he goes on a run like this it just proves what a great competitor he is. I really, really respect your work ethic and determination to succeed, as well as some awesome play. Great run!!
