I've been a fan of Thorzain since I saw his first match against Fruit Dealer in TSL 3. He's such a well-thought-out and well-mannered player. Great to see him winning another event!
No need to sign me up for the fan club, since I don't join fan clubs, but this guy is my favorite SC2 player.

Thorzain is amazing, and in a league of his own as far as foreign Terrans is concerned. Proof? Name another major offline tournament (with Koreans) won by a foreign Terran.
You can't do it - because there hasn't been one.
Hell, name any major event - online or off - with Koreans where a foreign Terran won, or even placed in the top 3. Bet you can't do that either, unless you go all the way back to Thorzain's win in TSL 3 last May.
This is one big win for Thorzain, one giant victory for foreign Terrans. Thorzain fighting!

Is it true he will not fulltime sc2 in the second half of this year?

Its alot like ELO for chess.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elo_rating_system
Basically, wins increases your TLPD rating. Wins against opponents who are higher in TLPD result in a greater increase of points than wins against lower opponents. I'm sorry, but I don't know the exact formulas used. You'll have to ask one of the TLPD wizards about that.

Oh, ok. I was wondering, since TaeJa is first and I don't really understand how he can be ahead of the likes of MKP and DRG. But thanks

Taeja plays in the ESW and other cups all the time, which helps inflate his rating. If you look at his tournament history, he has won or placed second in 10 of his last 23 tournaments in Korea.

Ah, fair enough. Kas is a beast. But still, Thorzain the first foreign Terran to take first at a major offline event with Koreans, right?

Gratz, glad to see another foreigner beating koreans.

So happy to see you win, Thorzain!!! You deserved this more than anyone I can think of!
Also, here's some thoughts/speculations I had last night as I was pondering the "unfairness" of Thorzain having to play the final series almost straight straight after his semi finals vs. Monster, whereas Polt was able to take a break and rest a bit more in between since his semi finals were played before Thorzain's.
At first was thinking this was bad for Thorzain, but then after he won it all I couldn't help wondering if it may have been a boon for Thorzain with the no wait in between his semi final series and the finals? My theory being that Thorzain's mentioned his nerves playing with him and the whole "afraid to win" thing. Maybe it was actually good for Thorzain to get into the finals right away, so he couldn't think too much in between?

Technically no, that would be Naama with his win of Dreamhack Winter 2010 (oGsInCa and oGsTOP were there), but still ThorZaIN is the first foreign terran to win a premier offline tournament in over a year. That's still impressive.

To be fair, at that time, players were really bad compared to how they are now, and while TOP was scary then, I don't think many people expected much from InCa.
