he hasn't been in up/down for a while, i hope he can confirm his place in wol next season by practicing that a lot instead of hots. i think the wol up/downs will be fairly soon anyhow, probably march 4-8?

will the up/downs for next season be WoL? If the up/downs are the start of the new season, as they usually are, and next season is hots, I don't see why the up/downs would be WoL.

Unless of course gom already announced it and I just wasn't aware

He has won quite a lot of games against strong players with mech already (mostly in TvT/TvZ of course but even some TvP), however his mech isn't everyone's mech. He has his own mech style based on fast upgrades timing and a lot of timing attacks (unsieged style in mech mirror TvT for example) and diverses variations of mech in TvZ. He probably won't play mech normally but it's okay.

It's not too bad that he lost to YoDa but now he HAS to practice WoL seriously, play well in Up&Down, grab that nesTea award and then destroy HotS. In that order MKP!

I'm worried for him in the up and downs, though. There are quite a few zergs. Luckily Leenock won today. I thought he might lose because he seemed to have regressed a little in his ZvP matchup and yonghwa can play pretty well sometimes. Right now there's EffOrt, NesTea, Crazy, Stephano, and Sniper in the up and downs. One of BBoongBBoong and TRUE and one of LosirA and soO will be in the up and downs since they are facing in the ro24 Code A. Then you will probably have Samsung Shine since he's facing squirtle and possibly DRG if Lure beats him in weird team kill PvZs. I don't see Life losing to aLive. This means there may be 8-9 zergs in the up and downs so he could get a group with 2 or more zergs

I agree. You're missing a crucial part of the army without ravens. Does Ryung do double upgrade mech? I cant remember. Marineking seemed really low on gas

Yeah I think the Ravens would make a world of difference, especially when you have unchallenged air dominance and your opponent is so marauder heavy. I don't play that high of a level so I could be wrong, but from a spectator's perspective having the Ravens for PDD like Ryung seems better.

From my personal experience, it's ok. The problem in his game wasn't the lack of the raven, but that he ignored the army, that went into his natural and then paniced and engaged very poorly with his main army.

I do like playing without a Raven more, because it really delays your upgrades. These 200gas are exactly the gas, you would normally spend into a 2nd armory and vehicle plating. (and if you cut tanks or vikings, it may open yourself up to some timings) And overall, I think that's better, especially if you play an agressive mech style like MKP. (which is not bad)

yeah all this wol vs. hots business is making me stressed out for prime - they're good at hots, but still got embarrassed by FXO in the GSTL zzz. plus with mkp, maru and creator in up/down (and possibly byun as well) and with up/down in wol it'll be a tough ride, considering that these guys look very mediocre in wol lately.

plus the fact that mkp and creator are in ipl6 is added stress too lol

I know Khaldor mentioned it, but is it confirmed that up/down will be WoL? I mean, they will be played next season, and by that time HotS is already released, it seems odd to have these matches in WoL.

well khaldor seems to be a fairly solid source i guess? i dno, i'm not too happy with how prime did in the hots qualifiers today either, they bombed pretty bad...

i think the up/downs will be played right after the finals i.e. the final five days before hots is released? can't see anything else that could happen, i think playing wol after hots is released is kinda ick
