CONGRATZ MKP!!! THE CURSE HAS BEEN BROKEN. :D
Kong Curse is mainly for official leagues (i.e. GSL, GSTL, etc.) it doesn't apply to special tournaments and non-official leagues. YellOw has a couple of championships/gold too but never in KPGA/MSL/OSL/SPL

Correct, except I would disagree about being in the Kong line as a curse. There are much worse fates than being called the Yellow of SC2.
MarineKing played amazingly tonight in KOTH,tore through everyone until Keen, which was one of the best TvTs ever. A little sad he didnt get the last win in the end, but on the bright side this shows his return to ridiculous form.
Q: You’ll be going to your first overseas tournament through MLG and ESWC.
A: I want to feel the excitement and the heat that MLG is so reputable for amongst progamers for myself. I’m very hyped. But it’s true that I’m a bit pressured because I’m going to MLG from the money fans raised themselves. I certainly want achieve a good result, as the games won’t represent just myself personally but it’ll be representing all the fans.

He seems to be playing a lot better from home than in booth, don't know if that's worrying or not. I believe Puma had a similar 'live' problem in Brood War?
Anyway, hopefully its just the more practice hes getting - he's improved since the last GSL finals he competed in. Can't wait to see him perform at Orlando :D Should be good. Hopefully he doesn't feel too much pressure on his shoulders from the fans paying for him - that will be his only problem at this MLG.
He used to play fine at lan events.. except in finals. He can still play very well(Super Tournament, Code A) but yeah. Seems he has been nervous lately. I just hope he can get past the group stages next season.
Everytime he conquers the awful bo1's he makes it far
despite my love of the little zergies (being zerg myself) i <3 marine king too. GJ winning the AOL even if it isnt the MOST legitimate tourney in the world, its still fuckin MKP!

No it isn't..hes is even deeper in the kong line now.
Anyways we will have to wait him to reach code S ro16 before thinking about kong line, since the last GSL final he was in was the world championship in April...
Still can't believe MKP destroyed DRG so easily! Was great to see, but as a huge drg also, hope that doesn't happen in ro16 for him! MKP is the special events king!

..and the Code A final barely a month ago.
Oh yeah I forgot that. It doesn't count as a GSL final since it's code A, if he won it he would still be in the kong line. He will start by winning code S :D

Can't see the games but even if people said the games were bad (MMA had to hide his strats for code S so he probably played like if it was some another online cup) I'm happy that he won. Does anybody knows if this account is MarineKing's another smurf? Since the traduction is "stupid neighborhood", which is kinda like his other smurf I think it's him, plus his winrate is ridiculous (76%...). If that's him, two smurfs in top 3 GM, another one in top 70 and his main account I dunno - what.a.boss. ThorZain almost won against DRG, MKP will win :D
That account was confirmed to be a MKP account on another thread here on TL.
As for the games against MMA, they were awful indeed. I don't know if MMA actually hid strats for GSL or not, I would assume 1800$ is enough to motivate a player. The games themselves were just cloaked banshees killing scv's. That's the summary of most games played MKP had good banshee control, MMA's control in both defense AND aggression were very very bad. He gg'd very early each game.
So happy he won today! His games against DRG were just awesome! He read drg like a book ^^
