Why do people think MC isn't the best SC2 player in the world? I know Artosis thinks NesTea is the best, and I've heard MVP cited as the best by others.

MC's has way more results than those other players. I admit he hasn't done anything where I'm like, "Wow, that was pure genius," but he's so solid and his micro is amazing. When he's on fire, you just can't take him down in any best of x.

As of right now, I think he's the best :3 I used to think Nestea, but he got knocked out, while MC is actually getting back in shape again to top form ^^

If you go by GSL championships, all 3 of them have two championships apiece. They also rarely play each other, so we don't know who would come out on top. So it's fine if people think of Nestea/Mvp as their number one.

I don't think people believe in MVP anymore. He's slumped way harder than MC and done nothing outside of Korea, and people like Bomber are better at TvT and TvP and I haven't seen him TvZ in forever. I think it's more of a Nestea or MC thing and even if they faced each other it wouldnt really determine who is the best, just who has the better ZvP/PvZ. Some people say stuff like MMA or Bomber but neither has done anything outside of GSTL and MLG, just a huge amount of hype. I'm sure MC would've beat MMA who lost to Huk 2-0, he was just lucky to encounter LosirA instead who has pretty lackluster ZvT.

Thing you have to consider when comparing results of MC vs other top Korean players such as NesTea, is MC has been incredibly active in a lot of foreign events, with schedules often nearly overlapping on top of GSL. If you look back at TSL, it showed pretty well how much preparation means where, let's face it, a lot of 'lesser' players took out some huge favorites simply because they prepared for it better; and I doubt MC took his 'low tier' GSL games very seriously while flying all over the world snatching foreign for him trophies. He probably was a tad too confident in some of his matches as well; it was pretty obvious he wasn't prepared very well at all in his matches against Alicia or Polt.

Either way, I'd have a hard time deciding who is the 'better' player between NesTea and MC, but MC's incredible performances in every major tourney worldwide and amazing stage antics make him a much more exciting player to follow, IMO.

Also, his games in Starwars semi/finals were ****ing brilliant. One might argue whether he is the best player in the world, but there is no way in hell any other Protosses are anywhere NEAR this guy right now.

Yeah, you can argue that he's not the BEST player in the world with the existence of NesTea and MVP (though MVP hasn't impressed me lately at all), but you can't deny that as a showman AND a great player, he's unparalleled right now. This guy adds so much hype and great moments to tournaments.

Looks like a bit of a chubster,, not much though,, many asian people are already quite compact,,

Can't say for sure though,, i've never met him so i haven't gotten the chance to touch him in order to find out if he is soft or hard,,
We promise with a view to hope, but the reason to "accomplish" what we promised would be fear.

Yeah, I agree. Haven't watched the StarsWar matches yet, but combining the way he rips through tournaments and his hilarious cermonies definitely makes him my favorite. I saw him live at Columbus and wow, he (and Idra) really made the tournament for me.

Definitely want to see him vs. MVP or NesTea soon, not to prove who's best, but because it'd be so epic.

well for starswar, you need to consider they weren't playing in soundproof booth so even wif headset on, the chinese player can still listen to a bit of the crowd. (rmb idra 6 pool jinro on jungle basin anyone?) yeah, MC's opponent might even hear the chinese commentary....YET HE STILL RIP THROUGH ALL SHITTTTT IN DOMINATING FASHION.

this shows how good he is. his semi final opponent xiaot 4 gate every game, his final opponent 3 gate blink rush every game. he managed to win a game in the final even after a failed cannon rush.

p/s for the guy who asked about MC's weight, he is 75kg+....as he said he is 150+ chinese gram (1kg = 0.5 chinese gram)

he is chubby, not too tall, about 175cm~

ogsthewind is pretty darn tall, 185-190cm~
