I worded it carelessly, I guess. I'm just dumb. I am a fan of Jinro, regardless. Believe it or not. On November 27 2011 21:52 Liquid`Jinro wrote: You are fucking retarded. I tried to reply to this in a more serious way, but it just isn't possible. You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about, and are generalizing my overall play based on what is obviously an extremely small sample of games. Not only is the only matchup where I even make banshees regularly TvT, but for you to have this idea of how I play you can not have watched many games at all. The funniest part is that people complain the same way regardless of what you do - unless you win. That is NOT how you judge correct play, you can win by playing incredibly incorrectly and lose while doing the right thing -- I get you. And yeah, I'm not "educated" in the finer nuances of SC2 plays. To me, the strategies you used in the games I watched recently didn't seem to make sense, since you seemed to lose so much. I understand that losing is part of getting better, but it was hard for me to grasp what it was you were trying to achieve. The plays are very non-standard (from the small sample I've witnessed, obv) and also seem to fail against standard. It doesn't seem to be the most effective way to practice to get that solidity that allows one to compete at the highest level. From all the years I've had of casually watching Brood War and now SC2, I've learned that safe, standardish builds, when perfected, bring the best results, just look at Flash. He's of course an extreme example, but yeah. You seemed to be on the path to that when you were doing well in the GSL. Anyways, you were losing so much that I was worrying about you. But at the same time, it gives me faith that you're grinding the builds and tactics until you perfect them. Not seeming to be affected or lose heart from losses, however often they may come. I'm sorry for being retarded. I wish you all the best and I'm rooting for ya.

You do realize that he cheesed his way to his first title, and was often flamed for being to cheesy, right? People are still doing that all the time, saying he should for example play safe instead of going for CC first builds, when in truth him taking calculated risks and being unpredictable is one of several things that make him such a great player. And that is ignoring that this isnt suitable to jinro in the slightest anyways, during jinros gsl runs people liked to say that he plays too standard and should mix it up more until he started doing that. Anyways, go jinro, dont let dumb comments get you down

Straight up attacks. I don't really get it, seems like it's a bad way to get better at the game. I've always liked Jinro, and I wish for him to be more successful, but this is just hilarious. I play super super standard 90% of games tbh --- the massive losing streaks that happen are usually tilt related... -> Lose a game I shouldnt lose, feel annoyed, lose next game, more tilted. Keep playing, dont stop to eat, lose more. Blablabal. I really dont do almost any non-standard build, favoring mech TvT is arguably non-standard but then not really as many people still do.
