Is it only here in Sweden where it's no big deal swearing on TV? Seems like everyone gets so semi butthurt about Jinro using a curse word. :O

Good work Jinro by defending your friend!

Yeaah...this didn't seem half as awkward when I saw it for myself than when I read it on /v/.

Dropping the f-bomb might raise some eyebrows, but that's Jinros problem and I'm sure he knows what he gets himself into.

The amusing thing is that for everything but cursewords people go mad. ^^

But yeah, go Jinro! Brocode manners there!

Can someone please elaborate and quote what he said in the group selection please

Jinro picked Supernova for the group, then when he saw that Supernova was happy about that, removed him from the group and picked Virus instead. The Korean announcers told him he couldn't do that, and he replied that no one ever told him he can't select someone then remove them from the group. They insisted that he couldn't do it anyway, but he wouldn't budge. He straight up said that he wasn't going to change it, that they can't expect him to follow a rule they never told him about. He also said, "I'm not going to fuck over a friend like that," which is apparently what all the hooplah's about. Eventually, the announcers realized they weren't going to wear him down, so they let him pick Virus instead of Supernova.

Well done, I say.

Pretty much this. After watching the whole thing, i think Jinro could have done the trolling "better" and prevent something like this to happen, but it wasn't as bad as people make it sound like..

Still mass respect that Jinro wasn't going to take the name out after that. But glad everything worked out and seem to be all right.

Nah man, here in Holland we curse all the time on TV.
I also find it weird how surprised some people are by some fuck's.

I think its awesome that Jinro stood up for his friends (Huk and SuperNoVa), but I do agree that dropping a F-bomb on "TV" (albeit internet TV) may have been a bit much. I wonder how the Korean netizens are reacting to this..

Yeah, seriously, after watching it, it's nowhere near as bad as people said, just a misunderstanding and Jinro wanted to make sure that Huk didn't get a raw end of the deal. It all worked out in the end.

Well, it's accepted in the culture that he comes from, so it's understandable that it might slip like that. Myself I think the stigma around cursewords in general is, well, fucking silly.

Jinro, Huk and Supernova are all friends... He didn't change because Supernova was happy, he changed because it was just a joke all along, and Huk and Jinro to do it because he wanted to see Supernova's reaction.

Great plan, though the outcome wasn't that great Translation/ not being aware of the rules creates a really awkward situation But ye, this shouldn't be hyped up at all
