So excited. I think he can take Nestea and Leenok, MMA I think is going to be the real problem for him in that group.
If he gets knocked down to code A though.... idk if he would get back to code S. There are a lot of really good players in A....
Anyway gogogogog HuK! If you read the format you would know the 3rd and 4th place of the ro16 only have to win one bo3 to get back into code s, and even if they lose they get into the up/down matches.
![[image loading]](http://www.teamliquid.net/staff/Waxangel/GSL/Nov11/gsl_format.jpg) Idk where did you get that idea from. oGsTop just got kicked out of GSL and he's code B right now.

it looks to me like 4th place in the ro32 code S forces players into the ro48 in code A and then they need to work their way through code A. Am I misunderstanding this?

You are correct 4th place of round of 32 (code s) puts you at the bottom of Code A (round of 48) which could mean code be if you loose.

No, you're not wrong. Dodgin is misreading the information.
If you lose the ro16 Code S, you get knocked in ro32 Code A. From there you're in Code A even if you lose. To get back in Code S from there you'd have to win the A-ro32, then A-ro24 which is like it's own up/down except half the players move up, the losers get sent to up/down.
The up/downs itself is another chance to get into Code S for next season. Its just that 2 out of the 5 players in the group go so obviously less percentage of them go to Code S. Losers stay in Code A for next season where they start at the ro48.

Wait, if you end up 4th in the code S pool then lose in ro48 you get booted out of code A though don't you? If you are 3rd in the pool then you get placed into ro32 then even if you lose all matches you still get placed into code A right?

Yes and yes. As long as you get past A-ro48, there's no way to lose your Code A spot for next season.

It's because you can't say "HuK" without "Gosu" behind it

If you're 3rd or 4th (doesn't matter which) in the Ro16 Code S group, you go to the Code A Ro24, and as Dodgin said you only need to win that match to go back up to Code S. The guy he quoted specifically mentions Huks Ro16 group; Nestea/MMA/Leenock.
The ones who ended up in the Ro32 Code A were the fellows who placed 3rd in Code S Ro32 (i.e. July from Huks group). This really is not hard to follow if you watch that picture.

HuK looked very impressive in those games this week.. That blink stalker build has some good potential if they do not open up early mass marauder. Will definitely experiment with that!

The world is ready for another protoss champion. Huk, plz make it happen!

I think huks next group is really going to come down to him and mma for second, here is how i see the group going. I hate this group as i want them all to advance.
MMA vs Nestea ( I think he has really worked on his zvt and had studied mma style)
Huk vs Leenock (Close since they are both good players but i see huk coming out ahead)
Nestea vs Huk (Nestea's zvp is the stuff of legends while huk's is average, he could win but is a heavy underdog)
MMA vs Leenock (MMA has some of the best tvz in the world so i cant see leenock winning this one)
MMA vs Huk (Cant call this one, imo both very solid players with equal chance of taking a game from each other)
Edit This is assuming they use the same format as the R32

not bad, but i think MMA can beat nestea and huk. But i will root for Huk

MMA's vP is not very good, but his still a terran, and as such could just stim and win anyway. We'll just have to watch and see. Personally I think Huk can destroy MMA.

This is off-topic and I'm only really saying it to make myself feel better, but I think Huk might return to Liquid after the contract with EG is up. He sure seems to miss Liquid and, as an example, his twitter pic was him in the old shirt for the longest time.. and when he changed it, he changed it to another pic of Liquid. Interesting.
Either way, Huk represent in the GSL! Keep up the fabulous work!
