a 200/200 protoss army cannot be beat by a 140 supply zerg army When protoss has a lot of units, they kill stuff really fast, so your units don't have much time to DPS. Brood Lords for example, had terrible DPS. They need the broodlings to add DPS, but when theres 7-8 colossi, broodlings die instantly without even hitting anything more than 1 or 2 times. Even if IdrA refilled his army instantly, it would still lose again. It's a very slippery road when a protoss gets a large colossi/void/stalker army with upgrades. | ||

I mean Jesus Christ, when you can go down every tech path and constantly pump units from 15 production buildings off 3 bases (giving him hundreds of supply total throughout the game) why bother ever taking a 4th? I'm starting think the game is fundamentally flawed in how powerful low base play is. 1 base is capable of putting out any number of extremely strong timing pushes (there was 1 particularly ridiculous game by Naama at Dreamhack where he had like stimmed marines, cloaked banshees, blue flame helions, thors, vikings, marauders and siege tanks off 1 base and won); 2 base play allows you to make a high tech, high strength maxed army and 3 base allows you can do absolutely anything and carry on doing anything for about 30 minutes. It's ridiculous. Reduce the mineral patch per base to 6 or something and force people to take multiple bases so we can actually see some fucking macro games before SC2 dies out because the quality of games played at the highest level is starting to look depressingly bad. | ||
