Players with mediocre knowlege, who think that they're pros but can not be pros because they don't play that much, can pretend to enjoy IdrA's commentary.
Players with little or no knowledge at all will not enjoy IdrA's commentary.

And technically that list should be flipped, as users with no knowledge will want someone walking them through it whereas someone with all the knowledge doesn't need to be stepped through it.

Well i don't think that's true, i never played a game of broodwar or starcraft2 in my life, but i enjoy IdrA commentary the most. Also i have been watching starcraft for 5 years now so i might have that "knowledge" you speak of.

Guy, those aren't the best examples there. they were examples of people who know about the game and talk about the game (i.e., what the diamond level scrub thinks he can do better). they weren't intended to be examples of the best casters.

So, you are better than Day9 who has more in depth knowledge than anyone I know of? Edit: I guess I should also add Incontrol (NASL), Gretorp (NASL) and Painuser (IPL) who are all professional players and also cast. Listen to Idra cast. Listen to maybe even artosis cast (although he's nowhere near as analytical and insightful as Idra). I think PsyStarcraft is pretty good caster. But then compare these guys to what Wolf, or TB, or Husky, or anyone really, say. Now I'm not caster bashing here, I'm simply saying Idra offers a level analysis that goes so much further than anyone else. I mean what does Wolf say before 30 food about the state of the game? Compare that to Idra who usually points out whos already ahead by 20 food because of openings. It's just amazing. I don't think it's a lack of understanding. For one, these guys cast thousands of games, so they probably are a bit tired of saying "oh its 2 rax, he needs to make only a single queen instead of 2" (although Ive never heard them offer any insight at the start really). Secondly, I think they prefer to hype it up. Gretorp is actually an amazing caster when a Terran is involved. His level of insight is amazing. And I think it's Vibe who offers good analysis too, iirc. I'm not sure why. I know they KNOW the game. They just choose not to. And then Idra, well, he obviously is just a world above everyone, as evident in when he casts. And your seriously going to say "his voice is boring". Seriously? I'm guessing KellyMilkies had 'voice problems' too, right? Give me a break. That sounds really, realyl shallow. edit: on a side note, i haven't casted because I don't have that much time. I may try it some time, to show how it's done. I'm not saying I hate all casters but Idra, in fact I would say I like all the 'major' casters, can only name one casters I specifically dislike, and maybe only one or two small time casters I dislike that no one knows anyways. I appreciate what they do, but I just wish they WOULD GO DEEPER.

I don't think we actually saw what Boxer had in mind beecause the new Slayers' build got Idra unprepared.

as soon as IdrA is outta tournies, i dont even watch the rest usually(unless its like Sen or something) Haha, me as well. The entire reason I liked IPL 1 is because IdrA was the star throughout the event. Its Official, im an IdrA addict. time to admit myself to the xtfftc hospital for the fan boys and seek treatment. IdrA also won the first event of SC2 I've ever watched, King of the Beta, back in the days where I didn't even know who he was (yes, shame on me). <3

"Great game, if not mostly one-sided. Pretty good cast. *BEGIN SPOILERS* IdrA handles "clever" harass by out-microing and out-macroing. IdrA's unit control is stellar all game. [IdrA's unit control would be better than most pros even if he were only allowed to use his testicles to control the keyboard and mouse. Yes, his testicles can reach all the keys on a keyboard as well as a mouse.] There was one clutch fungal growth that IdrA failed to execute, and it was heart-breaking. IdrA pisses excellence and units. SeleCT calls gg. An overpowered race dominated by sheer skill and willpower." IdrA fans = Best fans. <3 Edit: The author of said text goes by the handle Mang on the website SC2casts.com Source: http://sc2casts.com/cast4877-IdrA-vs-SeleCT-1-Game-Unknown-Event-Pro-SC2-VOD (Comment 2)
