Despite how disappointing it was to see IdrA lose to MC in that series I don't think I can be that disappointed overall because finishing as the top foreigner and having some amazing victories is definitely nothing to scoff at. I just wish he had played MC like he did in his first series with him instead of playing sort of cheesy.

Ye idra keeps getting really fucking good placements, he is extremly solid and still beats shitloads of amazing players.

But when he loses it still looks like he could easily win, is idra really that insanely fucking good or are we just looking at it the wrong way? =p

It would not change a thing, if there was a reason for a player of IdrAs caliber to play 12 hours a day instead of his 4(?) he would.

Also I am also sad it was Losira who did the amazing Nydus play rather then IdrA, actually made me sad to see a zerg manhanding MC.

Oh well, IdrA is still fucking super amazing.

how can u say that not working hard is the same as being a lazy foook? just look at the results.. top 3 are koreans.. you know why? because they friggen practice 12 hours a day... and it made the difference in the tournament and made it clear that koreans are still dominate in SC2, and now the chinese are rising and soon NA will be nothing more than a realm of nubs... I hope idra starts to train 20 times harder than the koreans next time.. MC and idra made the games so exciting by insulting it was terrific...

you need to realize idra hated the practice schedules when he was in Korea. and now he has so much more of a life now. (opposed to his Korean days)

my personal opinion is the only thing idra needs to work on is his mental approach to this game. and i am not saying this as an hater. just imagine how well he would play if he didnt put himself on tilt so much.

not to mention..... a 4 place finish is not bad in the least. i personally don't imagine all the Koreans who earn seed points this MLG to come to every MLG. so if he keep up his seeding he could have a really good shot at the mlg finals of taking this whole year!

I'm a massive fan and really happy he got 4th which is very impressive when you consider the calibre of the players at this tournament, but the game against MMA where he just left was pretty disappointing.

By no means did he have the game won but he was DEFINITELY still in it.

I slept in today so haven't seen the MC games, but heard IdrA kept going all in, which is disappointing.

I know everyone is still hyped about MLG but IdrA fans might want to note that in the NASL...

Well when I was in high school I wanted to get into medicine. And at that time you need to have the highest score possible to get from all the subjects you studied. 4 hours of study a day will probably give you a 99% score (which is still very good), but in order to get that perfect score you need to do 12 hours a day of studying to get to that level. I actually got my perfect score thru hard-work and if I got 99% i would miss out and be hugely disappointed. It was because of this mentality I was able to keep my standards high.

So for a progamer, their goal should be to win, and work hard towards it. Getting 3rd-4th place is good but I would still be crying for losing. iDra should set his standard higher and aim for it. People who aim for a low seed means that they just don't want to get to that point. mada foo ka of the round table..

Thats good to hear.

RE: MLG. Team EG needs a new rule. Idra is not permitted to leave until his buildings are all destroyed. I find it sad when Idra chokes like that.

idra didnt get first because his macro slipped pretty hard. vs thorzain he had like 2k/1k the first game. second game he just didnt make zerglings to defend against the drop and defended with drones too early. vs mc he threw away the first game. he even lost to some noob protoss husky casted with that. he should not do that vs protoss. second game is LOL. I would have just cancled the hatch at the last sec and go for 1 base muta. 300 minerals+2 cannons in pylons vs 1hatchery.
Game 3 is the same thing as game 1. If idra wants to cheese he has to find a new style. He needs to do some 1 base/nydus stuff and mass queens+infestors would also work. But not roach ling all ins. Or just plain up 6 pool/7rr or a variation of a roach rush.

4th place, only down to koreans. Only down to MC really, idra beat himself vs MMA

nobody can talk shit about that regardless of his burnout in the end

Idra beats MC in two macro games, then the next time they face he goes for a roach-ling allin, goes hatch first on a forge FE map, and then roach-ling allins again.

What was he thinking?

He was probably still playing on tilt from his game vs MMA
