There's pictures up too. So at least he doesnt hide behind his computer. Also he's more educated than most of you would think (a double major in mathematics/actuarial science and business from waterloo) is higher than youd expect from most Sc gamers

Half the fun of watching UFC is the rivalry between the fighters, trash talks, and stare-offs. Maybe more people who spend hours and hours on teamliquid making judgment calls about combat's intelligence, appearance, mental state, skill (i dont even know how BM relates to skill) or whatever, should focus their energy on the more important things. All I know is that combat would never spend hours arguing if SC2 is volatile, preaching balance changes, or pay $100/hour for someone to "teach" him starcraft. (Those are the real extortionists.) + Show Spoiler + FUN FACT: Combat received incredible backlash from the community for asking for donations on his youtube. How things have transgressed.... What's faggy is how he harasses people he isn't playing against on their stream, like incontrol for example. The players could actually report him but simply choose not to. And Oracle, All I know is that combat would never spend hours arguing if SC2 is volatile, preaching balance changes, or pay $100/hour for someone to "teach" him starcraft. (Those are the real extortionists.) These players discuss topics like balance and volatility because they compete professionally. Whether their concerns are legitimate or not, if a players race is stronger don't you think it gives them a better chance of winning these tournaments? As for coaching for money. Let's be serious, people want to be coached by pros, but these pros can't spend their time doing it when they could spend it training or relaxing. You aren't doing them a favor by paying them money to coach you. They're doing you a favor by accepting your money for coaching.

I hope to god no Actuary graduated from university on a one year degree. It's a six-year one (since hes doing two degrees) It's subjective to you whether that was acting like an idiot or not? "No he just does it to get his kicks in" doesn't really help you know? If anything it makes it more sad. Though I guess we can chalk that up as an accomplishment of it's own, so at least there's that. Asking for donations is actually still not allowed btw, but IdrA has specifically stated several times now that he doesn't take them so not so much with the relevance. As for discussing the game on a discussion forum about.. eh.. the game, or asking money for lessons from people who want them.. Yeah. It's disgraceful. Perhaps perceived problems with the community should go into another thread though?

Boy, that point flew right by your head. It was mainly directed at those making the correlation between Combat-EX is BM therefore he is uneducated. Forgive me for not replying to everybody's post in grave detail, but participating in forum arguments is against my moral fibre. I'm not here to advocate for combat. Im not here to argue semantics. I'm not here to argue, period. The entire point of my post was to bring up a more fundamental issue with the community. Something which 99% of the people here are guilty of but goes unnoticed. A deeper issue than "bad manners." Personally i'd rather have 100 combat's than 100 forum warriors arguing semantics and diminishing the credibility of a once great site. The combatex's of starcraft didn't produce the [crude adjective] game that is SC2. The hundreds of know-it-alls frivolously whining about their views and complaining about everything (and literally EVERYTHING) did.

You've made it clear that you don't want to argue. Yet I foresee you making a lot more posts in this thread.
