When you're visiting a psychologist, you can't be half-assed about it. It's a serious investment of time and money, as well as personal energy. To treat it as a minor thing is not going to be helpful at all. And surely if you take that step in the first place because you lost all confidence in your game, then you shouldn't be thinking or saying you're going to win because that's just denial, isn't it?
And we've seen him play exactly the same way he has been recently -- making huge mistakes, quitting games before they have been played out. The way this is going, I don't think there is a chance that we will see IdrA coming back to top form this entire year 2012. I am actually fairly certain that we will not.
Cheer up, Greg. You can come back. But it will not happen overnight and certainly not just because you want it to. You really have to work on it in a way that is different to how you've done it so far.
Sorry, but speculating that he doesn't take the psycologist seriously due to some poor games a couple of weeks after he started talking With her is just silly. Psychologists works over longer periods of time, you can't just go there two times and it's all solved, changing a thoughtprocess you've had for a very long time isn't done that fast.

I wouldn't worry about Idra too much. He just has to wait till HOTS comes out, cus Zerg units looks OP as hell. I'm sure with a powerful race and the resetting of the game Idra will dominate like he did in beta and early 2011.

How does it look OP as hell when all the demos we've seen relies heavily on the hydra?

Blinding cloud on enemy range units followed by ultra charge to finish them off.

basically you have to win out

Going Tempest against speed hydra/ viper? -.-

But that's likely just the devs playing, and they're probably not really on the GM level. We won't know until it's released. Besides, with the Swarm Host, the Viper, and the ultrafast Hydras, that is still more options than Z has right now, right?
EDIT: theyre not takin away anything from Z, are they? Burrowed banelings maybe, but that wasn't a big ZvP staple anyways.

Well it would be really great for Idra to qualify for pool play but it might be really tough. :s!

As a counseling intern, I just want to emphasize this point that it takes time to change a mindset, and most importantly the client must be WILLING to change his/her mindset.

disappointing idra lost to axslav
usa nats was great but on the basis it's competition he should be beating anyway you can't really take anything away from it

Man, really wish he would have just beaten axslav. Axslavs loser bracket is terrible.
|
He's got to beat some good players, I don't think he'll make it into the championship bracket tbh : ( Guess I'll have to cheer for Stephano then ^_^

I was refering to the 200 psychologist that post here about his mind set after every single game.

This was the first big event he participated in after the MLG Arenas and after he admitted that he was looking into getting outside help, of course people want to talk about him and his performance.
EDIT: PuMa, JYP, and ThorZaiN have made it to pool play! That is pretty awesome for EG.

IdrA, I want you back in top form! Take your time though man, we'll patiently wade through your slump or whatever and be with you no matter what your results! Hope the therapy helps, maybe its time for a short vacation XD. GOGO IDRA
