Anyway, the Iron Squid VODS seem to be released about a week after they're broadcasted? I looked at their Youtube channel, and IdrA's older games were uploaded a day ago. Am I correct in this assumption, or do they have another place that the VODs are uploaded earlier?

For the fans wanting to show the world that IdrA is most ESPORTS, I recommend participating in the fun poll TL/Hot_Bid setup here: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=321344
You should consider voting for: - Boxer meets Grack - IdrA rage - Artosis pylon (IdrA came up with the term! As a bonus, it is matched against TotalBiscuit's top hat. See three posts ago - Sorry TB!) - User was banned
Enjoy!

It makes me sad but I think this fanclub is getting worse. Not the haters so much but the fact that people are randomly raging at TB & Apollo (Who are a great casting duo) just because IdrA lost. If anything TB is a little bias towards IdrA when he casts, and people looking for excuses every time he loses. He is in a slump. He is working to improve it. You don't need to come up with every possible reason as to why he lost excluding he played bad.

I've also really enjoyed the casting in the other IronSquid shows (even when IdrA lost, last wednesday). I truly felt like the casting today was not as good as we are used to and very negative. Criticize the decisions IdrA is making, his unit composition, etc but don't start speculating on the future matches and say he'll go 0-4 in the group. Yes IdrA is in a slump, yes he has issues with his mental state or whatever. Listening to the cast, it felt like they spent more time talking about his slump than about the actual games. Keep the opinion piece for before or after the matches!
IdrA games today were really disappointing, I'm hoping for better games next wednesday and next sunday. (And looking forward to the solid casting we've been used to since the beginning of IronSquid)

Edit: And as I post this, Thrax says it better than I could have. Well done.

I don't really see why everyone keeps bringing up "we keep making excuses." I agree, we were making excuses early 2012 and late 2011 because IdrA recently won IEM and was doing decent at those times, so we were hoping it was just a little anomaly in his comeback. But it seems that pretty much everyone in the fanclub has just accepted that IdrA is playing really badly right now. It may be because of this, it may be because of that, but none of us are really shifting the blame from IdrA anymore. Just cause we're saying the games are a month old, it doesn't mean we're denying the fact that IdrA played badly.
But maybe I just view the word "excuse" differently. To me, excuse has a very strong connotation and I only use it when it is very explicit.

Well I'm not sure if TB likes IdrA. I know that IdrA doesn't like TB's casting, that's for sure. Also, I like TB's casting when I want to get hyped as fuck, but like you said, today's casting was negative. I was busy with homework at the time, so I was just listening to the cast in the background. Just from what I was hearing every now and then, the overall tone seemed a little too negative for my liking.

TB and IdrA definitely used to not like each other....but I think they've sorted out their differences (I remember a TB post awhile ago on Reddit talking about how he had met IdrA and Greg was a genuinely nice guy but he still hated InControl lol). I don't know if they're exactly buddy-buddy but I don't think there's bad blood in their relationship anymore, or at least not on TB's side.
As for the stuff on the excuses part, I agree, we all know IdrA's is in bad form right now, and he's been that way for a while. We all saw his play from GSL and IEM. I think a lot of what people call excuses are just us fans defending him when people say he's a trash player who should quit playing, he's shit compared to X player, will never have the champion mindset blah blah blah. Really frustrating reading those types of posts on LR threads after he loses games.

Well IdrA bashed TB's casting on his most recent Twitter Q&A, but I think they almost casted together at a Dreamhack a while ago...after all of that TB vs IdrA commotion too. IMO, it may just be another case of IdrA saying something about someone's play (well casting in this case) and everyone interpreting it as a personal insult. So ya, I should've worded my "I know that IdrA doesn't like TB, that's for sure" better.

usually im a huge fan of your casting and other non-sc2-related stuff you do. but yesterday i had to mute the stream cause it was just terrible. accept my opinion as a comsumer. thanks.

I didn't mind TB's casting yesterday too too much, though I still have to agree with Thrax. It was somewhat more negative than TB's casting is otherwise. I didn't really see the need to point this out yesterday though, because I assume it was a one time slip.
I also think that TB's post was right to a small extent. I guess if he'd casted the same way, but IdrA would have played way better the casting wouldn't have been mentioned as much in here.

Could someone link me to IdrA's Q&A session? :3

Man this fanclub is so funny to read.. Only excuses. This is no longer a fan club its the IdrA's fans excuses club. Just sayin.

Aocowns Whole - i replied to the guy who started shit talking about the bandwagon crap. MountainGoat - um i said i enjoy both zergs, where is the defensive part?
I guess you three are rather insecure and defensive if you got offended by my simple reply. Please don't flame a fanclub, i didn't.

Whaat? As far as i have seen everyone agrees that idra played very badly. I haven't seen many excuses this time, which is right, he just played badly.

He just doesn't know what to say. I think he was hoping that you'd give him some kind of excuse, lol.

Everytime I see something like this posted I first get the primal urge to go into a tirade of insults that'd be a troll's wet dream. Luckily for me, I take a deep breath, count to 5, and am also discouraged by the mod-note at the top of every page of this fan club.
Therefore, I won't call you "asinine", "mentally deficient" or "chromosomically challenged", but I do have a question for you:
Do you really have nothing better to do than come into this place and try to bait people, or post pointless things?
You're like a character in a Kevin Smith movie, though without the amusing quirks. You're just a plain ol' boring person.
In other news, I didn't like the cast by Apollo and TB very much either, but one thing they said that sticks out in my mind as pretty true is that people seem to have figured IdrA out. I mean, he is extremely mechanically sound, but he seems to be so very easily scouted, whenever he's in a tournament situation. Now that people have gotten better and better, he isn't able to overpower people with raw macro strength, when they know what he's gonna do. I'd like to seem him build roach warrens and then skip roaches altogether and go double-upgraded zergling/infestor/hydra or something once in a while. I mean, everyone who follows IdrA with regularity can almost always predict what he's going to do in each torunament matchup these days.

I'm totally agree with TB and don't know why he's been warned, i'm not the greatest fan of him but i didn't notice any special negative comments towards idra, he was just doing his job. Keep in mind Idra is the player in the community we expect the most and sadly he's not atm at the level of the expectations, so the comments towards him might be hard. Remember Idra is not the last when it's about dissing someone so when he plays badly the caster got the right to say so.
