DongRaeGu dropped out of IEM World Championship and made IdrA's group a little bit easier. DarkForce replaces him. DarkForce is a pretty solid EU Zerg but he's nowhere as good as DRG.
His group now: IdrA DarkForce SuperNova Kas Real Feast
The group is still pretty tough. Kas seems to have IdrA's number, SuperNova is a Korean Terran, ReaL is a Korean Protoss (although living in EU) and Feast is an up-coming Protoss player. I think he can break through though.

The first thing that came to mind was: Flawless 5-0.
Make it happen, Captain Greggors

I think he can break through though. Considering Idra aims at competing at the highest level of SC2, this group is actually as doable as it gets. Of course, every other player participating in large tournaments is good as well, and you won't get anywhere without beating at least one Korean (terran) anyway, but apart from that this group features a rather low rate of Korea trained players and without DRG there is no complete favorite on a total different level.
Competition is always tough, yes, but considering the highest level of play currently possible in SC2, this group is more than decent. I expect Idra to advance from that group.

hm, pretty sad that drg dropped out, would have liked to see him playing vs idra and would have made the joy way greater when idra advances
anyways, im looking forward to the next weekend..

I wouldn't say Kas has Idra's number. I remember the last time they played Kas got in a ton of hellions in Idra's main and won the game from there, but now Idra is a lot more cheese proof than before. I see Idra getting out out that group.

A lot depends on whether Supernova plays as he should and whether Idra plays well vs Real and Feast.
The Kas game could also go either way.
If the Supernova from IEM Sao Paulo shows up and Idra plays as he can then Idra could even go 5-0.
But I could also see him going 0-5 if he goes on tilt.
Such is the nature of Idra.

Seems pretty smart tbh, DRG's been doing great but he needs to pace himself a bit to not do an MC next season.
I like IdrA's chances in that group though. He's got to be hungry, if he's focused as well he can take everyone in there.

DRG dropped out because it conflicts with MVP's GSTL match and they're trying to secure dat vegas trip.

Ah man Its a shame that we speak of idra like we do today, like he maybe has a chance - some time ago we would be chanting idra beats everyone hands down and hope to beat drg.
When idra dominates this group and takes iem worldchampionship and we get that back!

You people really need to relax.
His tournament result havent been very good. WCG didnt qualify from his group NASL and the list goes on. Just relax Idra just need some time no need to overhype him like that.
Even without DRG is gonna be a very hard group for Idra becuase I dont think he can beat Real and Feast. Real is basically the protoss Idra hate to play against he is very creative and good at doing 2 base timing attacks and feast has showed alot of promise l8tly vs zerg..
Idra should be very happy to get 3rd in this group
|
Who exactly SHOULD idra be afraid of in this group now that DRG is out of the picture? and honestly even if he was in it im still confident in Idra forcing DRG to go all out or lose.
MMA, Puma and MC will be hurdles no doubt tho, not ones he can't beat tho

Oh there's that then. He still should regardless though. You know, after winning GSL tomorrow.
