Game 2 ~50 minute game on Tal Darim Altar. Puma opens with a fast expansion but immediately goes straight for Cloaked Banshees. IdrA is ready with Queens and Overseers and stops it. Idra does huge damage with Mutalisk harass, especially considering that Puma spent so much trying to get the Banshees quick. Puma on 3 bases on Tal Darim to Idra's 5 bases. Puma begins dropping Marines at Idra's outside bases doing huge damage, back and forth as both players trade huge economic damage with Puma's Marine drops doing just as much damage to Idra's economy as Idra Mutalisks do to Puma's economy. Puma moves out with a Tank and Marine force and gets crushed by Idra's Banelings, Lings and Mutalisks. Idra takes out Puma's fourth base with his Mutalisk but soon after he leaves them on move command and they go over a force of Marines and Thors and he loses 12 of his 27 Mutalisks. Puma retakes the fourth both players max out, Puma with Tanks/Thors/Marines/Vikings against Idra's Broodlords/Infestors/Lings/Banelings. Both players posture in the center of the map, Idra ends up killing off the majority of Puma's Vikings with Fungal and moves in. A massive battle erupts. Idra destroys the majority of Puma's army but loses everything except 4 Infestors. Idra ends up getting a ton of kills with a single Infestor on the high ground at Puma's fourth and Puma is down to ~25 SCV's, but Mules are keeping his mineral income high. Puma is actively denying Idra's 4th and 5th bases with Marine drops, but Idra is relentlessly rebuilding them. Puma takes a 5th, and Idra fails to pressure it. Both players posture, trading small forces and economic damage (including Idra forcing Puma's 5th to lift), until Puma attempts to deny Idra's freshly taken 6th base with a large force, but it runs into Idra's main army of Infestors/Lings/Mutas and with Tanks not sieged gets absolutely crushed. Idra 2-0. That is the best I can remember of the first two games. Some of the second game might be out of order since it was so long. Honestly, I was too excited to remember what happened Game 3, Idra got some amazing Baneling hits in, a good ling run-by, and Puma just couldn't handle the Grack. | ||
