Revival is also 2-4 vs Zergs in the Korean Weekly, so he's about average for Korean standards. i agree, plus idras zvz has always been solid due to his great micro and decision making, but ZvZ IS pretty volatile, anyone can win. IDRA HWAITING ZvZ is not volatile. It's almost always the best matchup for top zerg players, if you look at their records. In fact it's the probably the least volatile matchup for zerg.
Early game ZvZ is by far the most volatile matchup in starcraft 2. It stables out after the baneling BS, but there is no way you can deny my first statement. 1 baneling can END the game.

If IdrA smoked weed, he'd be Greg Deals. (Is this right? =p) And if Idra plants weed, he'd be Greg Fields.... omg..he really DOES plant weed...
Bahaha, that is sig worthy.

Wanted to bring this game back up, wanted to put in some of my thoughts and get the opinions of others.
Its like 05:30 here, so I'll only mention the one I remember: G2 on Metal. When going Pool First and you get cheeed like IdrA did in such a fashion, what do you uthink of getting 4-6 Lings, and using a pair of Spine Crawlers to slowly advance and pick off the Bunkers/marines, all the while pumping out Drones. Wouldn't you easily break the contain, then have enough Drones to almost immediately saturate the Natural when you get it up?
What do you guys think? It would've broken the "bunker contain" at the top of his ramp after a few minutes, but did it even matter? Would he have been just too far behind even with near-instant saturation on a 2nd base?

It's probably going to happen. ZvZ is Idra's best MU and Revival's worst, and JYP is absolutely horrid at PvT and Puma is Puma.
I'm going to be surprised if Idra vs. Puma doesn't happen.

I don't think he'd have been that far behind, since the terran cut a ton of workers, but at the same time, the bunkers went up quite late, it's hard for the zerg to tell how all-in the terran will go at any point.
If IdrA built the spines and the terran backed off before speed and expanded it'd make him behind, but in that situation the spines would have helped (but it's also hard to get them up and in appropriate placement in time for them to be worth it, as if the T sees it he can start going for more econ)

Yeah but I want to see it!
or maybe see Idra win.... He could go 2-1, and then they wouldn't have to play the other 17 matches.
Or are the semi-finals bo5? Oh no

XD Although not probable that IdrA will win, he did win 2 games in a row while PuMa was playing with him if I remember correctly.

I don't think IdrA can beat puma, but I want to see it none the less.

No shame losing to a guy like PuMa.

he won 2-0 against jim and jinro lost 0-2 to elfi, and in the resulting tiebreaker the one map idra won against jinro put him ahead

If Idra bested Puma (assuming at least bo5) he would suddenly be in the running for best foreigner again, for me.

no matter what will be the outcome of the incoming match, plz refrain from bashing idra or his opponent for the way they played the match, remember they play to win.
keep it cool, and cheer for idra, whether he win or lose ;P

remember, if all of IdrA's lings gets blown up by a bling, IdrA says that Ling/Bling is one of the most skill intensive scenarios in SC2 atm, so don't bash Revival.
But if Revival's lings get blown up, everyone post BOOM. lol
