Good old Protoss, full of cheesy bullcrap.
Can anyone elaborate further on those games? Sounds like there was bad blood between them I read a few pages back that Idra was being super nice earlier on.

He says "not everyone takes it so emotional" as if he's not playing against someone who's been a committed pro for like eight years. What nonsense. Of course Idra's emotional about SC

I doubt they knew each other. The protoss in game 2 proxied a robo to make a sentry drop that FF's the ramp between IdrA's main and natural, with the consequent warp-in, Idra lost quite a bit of drones and a macro-hatch. Then lost to a-moved zealots. I think that's the only bit that railed IdrA.
In the 3rd game, there was a 2 base blink stalker all-in, so Idra called the P cheesy.

it was "cheesy Bullshit" not cheesy build.

Kalin wished him gl as well for the future tournament. Tbh if i was in Kalin's position i think i'd play a cheesy build as well, because i know i wouldn't beat Idra in macro. In game 2 his cheese was something i hadn't seen before (and something Idra could have stopped if he had found the hidden robo)

He blinked into the main base on antiga shipyard, dropped the sentry and FF the ramp.
Its a really really hard spot for the zerg to be in. Especially if idra had decided to tech on 2 base instead of expanding again

It could actually be incredibly and I mean incredibly powerful. Zerg has nothing to deal with that.

i'm not sure of the exact timing, but i think he could have had 3-4 hydras to snipe the warp prism if he had gone for a faster lair and a hydra den.
Obviously the strat isn't completly new, but it still was something i hadn't seen before. I'd need to check how long 3 queens need to kill a Warp prism with their attack. If they can do it within 10s then he might get it down with 3 queens before the first round of warpins finishes.
Aside from that the only thing that might work would be a preventive nydus network, and who builds that building if he doesn't intend to use it?
So yes, even if he was a vastly inferior player it was a fun game to watch. I think Idra might have held that push if he had invested into more upgrades though. The lack of upgrades is what killed him in the battle.
