I think the first game(pvp) was rly kinda close... maybe one more pylon at these 6-7 warpgates to begin with and he could have managed to win this. :/ -fan aswell-

Well if he scouted that Dark Templar Shrine in time I'm quite certain he would've won. But well... fighting of Dark Templars for a minute without detection HURTS... a LOT.

Edit:

Also Archons do very good again mass Zealots, which of course Husky and HD couldn't consider.
That's one of the reasons I dislike them sometimes apart from "this is absolutely out of control!"

Yeah I agree you're supposed to be decent or GOOD at all 9 MUs, but I'm thinking two things happened. TLO was totally ahead in game 3, he had it won imo, if he only pushed when WhiteRa was getting his Shrine up, and after the harassment, he totally had the game won. He shrugs it off and thinks oh okay I still got this, I'm up 2 games I can throw this away, BUT next he spawns protoss and tries to end it by a rush and fails.

In your head come game, he just lost, pretty much 2 games, in seemingly 10 minutes. He spawns protoss, now his confidence is down, he just lost 0-2 vs WhiteRa's PvP. Going into game 5, that explains that WTFmove at the end....Half the army split isn't always a bad thing, but when your army is split in COMPLETELY different directions...too bad

Let's do not forget how amazing he played in those games, reticules good for an random player, he absolutely has a great future. On such an high level luck is always an factor. He should know...

TLO is my fav sc2 player so far because of his interesting play but going random in tournaments simply doesn't make sense. You do random in ladder to be good at all 3 races. This way you can have interesting strats for all 3 races.

However in a tournament situation there is NO reason to put it in the hands of the dice if you can pick your race from the 3 and try a diff strat each time. There is basically zero benefit to going random in a tournament since your opponent scouts u in under 3min whereas the potential harms (as we saw today) can be crippling.

On_Slaught, rules of the tournament forced him to play random, he'd very much loved to play Terran vs White-Ra. And his PvP really isn't as bad as you guys make it, they played like 2 days after the patch and before he was playing sentry+zealot like Nazgul did, which suddenly didn't work at all so he went Blink Stalker build which worked good on Metalopolis til he wasted them all when he panicked because of the DTs.

I don't think TLO competes in tournaments as random in order to have any edge or benefit in the series. He seems to do it cause its fun for him, but yeah as of today, I still don't think he should pick a race, maybe just 1 or 2 days out of the week, pick his worst race and just drill it hard. Then go back to random, if TLO just played 1 race I'd be so disappointed since the creativity could be limited...
