I think we are seeing his peak. Players like this tend to shine early on, and then fall off the radar when the game is more perfected and linear, and the more mechanically sound, solid players are aware of almost everything that is viable that could come at them and prepare accordingly. Hey man, I agree there have been many examples where creative players shine on a tournament and later on they are never seen again. I hope of course the little one will not follow this path

If his SupCom years are any indication, we don't have to worry about this too much.

Watching TLO was by far the most fun I've had watching SC2, I am definitely a fan. This is exactly what should be the great thing and the initial selling point of competitive SC2, where creativity and thinking on your feet can triumph and the game isn't all about pure mechanics.

It also shows that TLO refuses to play standard in 1/2 his games lol.

What exactly defines "standard play" though? I've seen so many different play styles and builds from high level players, and the trends tend to be different on different servers.

Not trying to take any credit away from TLO, I think his matches were extremely entertaining, but I'm curious as to what you'd call standard play.

This is still early where there is no standard play but once stuff does become more solid he'll still keep on being crazy.

I've been TLO fan since SupCom, eat that! He rocks, and if you ever played that game, go ahead and try to view some of his replays. I still remember some of them, but most notably a crazy upgraded ACU in the face of the enemy commander! Hail TLO. This tourney made me remember how awesome he was. I just hope he keeps playing SC2 for a long time.

YES... I loved TLO's play in the invitational. So creative! I'm probably wrong about this, but it reminded me of the way Boxer plays with *very* creative out-of-the-box ideas played out with solid mechanics and multi-tasking. and he plays random! TLO for Prez!
