No vocal/instrumental separation, hell -- not even separation between the instruments really. Can't distinguish anything. That and "lol hurr hurr whats dynamic range" Just posting to say that I can't stand it when things are clearly separated by channel. The effect has to be subtle or it ruins the recording, especially when you are listening with headphones which is going to be the majority of young people listening to this music. I gave up trying to enjoy stereo remasters of mono albums a long time ago because they typically screw this up by panning guitars hard to the left and bass hard to the right.

A lot of audio engineers these days don't even know what the word 'subtle' means anyway.Everything's either hard left, hard right, or center with no real middleground. Soundstage feels like its all of two feet wide and there's neither spatial separation nor frequency separation of instruments :X

That chorus alone is not bad, if they come along with a high pitch song like oh. I must say the entire song without the high pitch parts is SO good. But disjoint with chorus, sudden changes in pitch made my head hurt so I can't jam it now, though I adore the rest of the song. Such a pity!

Okay so after a year of lurking this thread I finally bothered to make an account and post something.. After seeing this for another time, I just HAD to put this out there So people have been bringing up Seo Taiji quite a few times in this thread but only to bring to the attention that he 'started it all', but how many of you have actually listened to some of his works AFTER Seotaiji and Boys? for those of you who didn't know shortly after making pop music with his group Seotaiji and Boys he moved onto Nu Metal and other alternate rock. Seo Taiji - Heffy End - performed at Vladivostok, Russia (one of his best live performances!) One of his recent songs T'ikT'ak YES he's still out there making music, it's just that Krock hasn't been covered as much as Kpop these days. Anyway I hope you guys have learned a little more about Seo Taiji, he truly is a talented man, and a legend. P.S: Yay for 1st post, and yes I did come here for Starcraft (playing SC2 atm) but I mainly stayed for this thread ![]()

Help is much appreciated. great song choice. "gathering my tears" is by seo jiwon and was the title track for his 2nd album, hitting #1 in all the charts. he committed suicide shortly after, in 1996 when he was only 20 years old. the music video for this song is so sad, it features black and white footage of him just fooling around acting like a kid and his funeral ![]()

It always makes me happy when people ruin a lighthearted tribute by going mr. encyclopedia on it. Glad to know you like his music anyway.
