Actually 2NE1 doesn't suck (in my opinion ![]() I think their music actually tends to stand out amongst the stuff the other girl groups are coming up with. I saw the many negative comments about "Fire", but it actually appealed to me right away and made me take notice of 2NE1 because there wasn't any other Kpop out there like it. It was a song that had great beat and makes you want to dance to it, not just copy some practiced routine you saw in a MV or on stage. The song and their performances (in the MV and on stage) had more "attitude" than the rest of the girl groups, with a noticeable hip hop and R&B feel to all their songs. Also, their impressive live performances and focus on trying to give something new in each of them by tweaking the choreography or presentation stood out again amongst many others whose only changes were to their outfits each time. I like how they dramatized some of their performances, such as with "I Don't Care" and "In The Club", which you don't see with any of the other groups. Their live covers of American songs like "Take A Bow" and "Umbrella", and even Big Bang's "We Belong Together" made them seem even more distinctive amongst Kpop girl groups. Everyone's entitled to their opinion, but I felt that I would provide an alternative to what appears to be a slightly negative general opinion regarding this group.

While I do think there are strong similarities between "Heartbreaker" and "Right Round", I don't think it's necessarily a case of plagiarism either. From my experience, a lot of music in other countries (particularly their pop music) tends to be strongly influenced, if not blatantly imitating, popular US music. I don't want to come off as an arrogant American, but I don't think it's inaccurate to state that the US music industry (and entertainment industry in general) is considered to be the best in the world, and it's not unexpected that other countries will take what they like and try to incorporate it into their own work. Overall, I think that there's been an unfair amount of focus on the alleged plagiarism from G-Dragon, and YG in general. With the sheer amount of music being produced all around the world, and the way popular trends and tastes spread worldwide so quickly with the Internet, it's inevitable that some music will resemble each other. Lots of songs could be broken apart and argued to be "plagiarism", but I suspect that most of it is a result of producers/artists being influenced by other producers/artists and incorporating what they hear in their own work. With regards to G-Dragon specifically, I don't doubt that he really wrote and produced "Heartbreaker" himself, and did not consciously make it sound so similar to "Right Round". I'm sure he listens to a lot of music, particularly hip hop, and I'm sure he was up-to-date with what was currently popular, particularly in hip hop, and carelessly let his work sound too much like another popular song. What's funny is that "Right Round" is itself a cover of a much older song.

He was so adorably eccentric at their last concert. It's lovely to hear he's getting married to his long-time GF though. I hope they don't go on hiatus. At this point in the group (just released the new album etc.) it doesn't make much sense.

A source from Epik High's agency said, "On Music Core this coming Saturday, it will be their last performance for their 6th album. It is sad that we are stopping as it was only released not long ago. But we decided to stop due to Tukutz's impending absence." With Tukutz enlisting for military service, they also talked about Tablo and Mithra's future activities, stating, "They will still continue with composing songs and appearing on broadcasts. Their individual activities are currently being discussed." LONG LONG TIME WITHOUT EPIK HIGH =[

Ever since the economy has been goin down the drain a bunch of Korean Males applied to the army and it got kinda over bloated, hence a longer wait period. 미쓰라 (god knows how you spell this in english) has to go soon. As far as I know, Tablo doesn't need to go due to his Canadian Citizenship.

I find 2ne1 the best out of all girl groups.
