Anyone on the New Jeans hype train? They seem like a one-trick pony so far compared to LE SSERAFIM, who have released various genre-blending songs so far, but I do love their style. Guess if you can one-trick and do it well, it'll be popular.

I think they are great, but you aren’t wrong about them being one-tricks. I don’t really mind because they at least keep hitting the mark with every release. I’d say they are also 100% overhyped, but that’s a result of amazing marketing from hybe. Honestly though, they are super young so I think they will grow and try new things.

On another note, LE SSERAFIM is my favourite 4th gen group. I’ve been really enjoying their variety content lately.

Sserafim is just the most unlikeable group in recent times through no fault of the actual singers. Everything about their group name, song names, and marketing just rubs me the wrong way.

I haven't really cared much about New Jeans, either. The GODS performance at the league of legends world finals was pretty good, but most of their other stuff has been meh for me.

damn most unlikable is pretty harsh. I think their marketing in the states (going to Laker games and stuff) definitely is noticeable but is it that hateworthy?

Didn't like this initially, but it grew on me. Plus, Vevo actually made them sing. They also performed Easy and Perfect Night with Vevo.

Impressive product by Hybe, that company doesn't miss much.

I'm on the hype train. I always detested KPOP back in the days. 1st generation was really good and then low quality songs kept coming out with 2nd/3rd Gen with the exception of big bang/2ne1/Brown eyed girls. With the introduction of Newjeans, their songs are so fresh and concept is so luxurious. So many koreans are loving them and they are probably the GOAT girl group in 2 years. They have the most successful Melon charting performances and is looking to surpass black pink in terms of spotify streams. Only a matter of time until they release a full album and the final evolution of kpop is complete.
