Do not like that. At 3mins long, it was rather short. Sour Candy collaboration with Lady Gaga was better
While it's slightly better than Twice "More and more", it is not a high bar to attain. This is BP worst single to date imo. IZ*One should have an easier route to dominate the charts now.
I will wait and see how RV Irene and Seulgi fares. Hopefully 1 of the big 3 can deliver, or maybe Im just out of touch once more with Kpop
It really was awful. I'm still confused as to how they've gained the popularity that they have. All of their songs I've listened to are barely above sound-cloud amateur prouducer-level production.
The chorus and raps usually feature discordant jumps and barely incomprehensible lyrics mixed with these schizoprenic like visual effects in the background. The mixing of the music usually results in a cacophonous outcome that I'm surprised people would listen to.
At least most kpop music producers put out catchy fun dance tracks or cutesy lovesongs with catchy hooks and always solid choreography. The Blackpink production crew in comparison is embarrassing really; each time I queue up one of their new releases I exit the video within about 60 seconds or so.
I honestly think the popularity of Blackpink is due to their edgy visual themes. A lot of women are attracted to the themes they put forward in their outfits and general attitude. But their music is so bad its almost embarrassing to listen to.

completely agreed. I miss 2ne1. They had the best songs out of ANY girl groups by far. Their song/talent took them to top and many koreans still have those songs on their playlist. LIke come on no one got TT or I got a boy on their playlist...
Took another listen tonight and I still hate it. To be honest the song starts off kind of well, but literally everything past 40 seconds is trash. Imagine being on hiatus for over a year then releasing this.

Well you know how korean fandoms are. They'll buy anything if it's from "your" group.... that's why producers and companies seem to a) get a falls sense for what is good or b) just don't care and shitting out whatever they have

*Shame on YG
If BlackPink had anything to say regarding song picks I'd be shocked
