I've said it a couple of times but it must be really weird to one day be in a group, have fans chase and scream your name and then the next when your group has disbanded to see it all just go away so quick. These people also have been in their groups for so long they probably dont have any other work skill so must be hard to find their next path in life.

It’s not even just adapting that’s the issue. It’s also how fucked online culture is in Korea mixed with how shitty most idol companies are at managing people like they are real humans.

From what I understand Hara being victim blamed and shit on from netizens after coming out about her ex was a motivating factor in her failed suicide last year.

The public's response to her ex's abuse of her was disgusting, there was so much victim-blaming, he tried to frame her and people fell for it, even after the truth was unveiled people didn't care and he got away scot-free. He was found guilty yet got away with probation and continued his career as normal. The stuff he did to Hara was sickening. People dragged Hara for returning to the public eye as if she should be ashamed even though she was the victim and did nothing wrong. Months after her suicide attempt haters were back to dragging her for posting on social media, for her looks, for working in Japan etc. Hara deserved so much better than what she's received and I'm devastated.

My mother messaged me "k pop star goo hara died at age 28 Did u know her music?" I find it sweet that she remembers I liked Kara back in highschool when I lived with her, but it was a weird/sad way to hear the news.

Now I'm concerned about the celeb Youngji (whom my username was named after) who was in Kara and friends with Hara.
