holyfuck how come that I never heard of them before, there amazing
Not having heard of them before is a sign of badness, imo. They're rookies who are the project group of Kim Do Hoon, big time producer notable for producing all of KWill's latest tracks, Wheesung's Heartsore Story and Night & Day, SG Wannabe's Sin and Punishment, IU's Marshmallow, Soyu and Jung Gigo's track, and Davichi's 8282. The hype behind him making a group was quite huge. Hell, he even broke off the hype knob by having their predebut releases include Wheesung, KWill, and Bumkey. Got me almost as excited as Shinsadong Tiger's forming of EXID. Speaking of Shinsadong Mamamoo's been receiving quite a bit of support from his Rainbow Bridge agency. So, yeah, fuck you Shinsadong, why can't you manage and support your own group properly?
Also they're managed by WA Entertainment, which includes Phantom, Geeks (with whom Solar, Mamamoo's main vocalist, performed with during their Wash Away promo cycle) and undebuted Esna who is...someone in this thread's friend. Their vocalist Whasa was featured in Baechigi's latest: https://vimeo.com/112295003 228mb source available. - Bumpin' as hell track, by the way.

No. I was like this for my entire first year when I began k-pop, and still am to an extent. It's just when there is a good MV/choreography then it's a nice bonus, but I care about the music more when it comes down to it like most other people. I think there's a good amount of lesser-known artists that have great songs, but just don't have the flashiness that popular groups/soloists do. For example I think Yoon Jong Shin is an amazing singer that is definitely underrated:

Oh definitely he is in Korea, I was talking about amongst the international community.
Korean music is increasingly becoming attentive to international fans for success and growth these days, I don't think anyone can dispute this point. Anyone that doesn't try and adapt kind of gets overshadowed I feel, but I guess more people prefer pop music these days.
Apink's new album isn't Snow Pink/Secret Garden level but it's still good as usual, I think I like the title track the most (that's actually the first time). "I'm not an angel" (천사가 아냐) is good too. I love ChoRong's voice in it.

I might sound like an uptight son of a gun, but the writers of that Apink song.... Did they really have to write it down as LUV when they literally spell it out L.O.V.E in the god damn song... Like the song still....
