Artist of the Year Thats how we do it yo Can't wait for the Golden Disk Awards, I feel like EXO will win the Disk Daesang (if not them then SHINee ofc will win, but I don't see how EXO loses that one) there so that will be interesting. | ||

From stats they should win the disk daesang right? I call BS if they lose it, mainly because of that dumb rookie culture. Beast on the other hand, they won so much with a song that I felt was average. But maybe I just call it average cause I still have fiction-feels for them. I hope they'll come out with something as great as their fiction album, but lately its been all let downs from them. Shinee winning wasn't surprising but I felt somebody else definitely deserved it, their songs have been lacking lately too. Busker Busker winning was nice, I wish his wife went up with him though, they look like an adorable couple. Ailee support was amazing to watch live, when she was singing the song with the other two guys and the girl, they cut to her face, and you could see it in her eyes she was about to break, and just a few seconds later it happens, the crowd chants don't cry, and transitioned to her name. Felt very uplifting, and nice to know that she has support. | ||

Really the only flak you see EXO getting for the most part are from jealous fangirls that are afraid of EXO cause they are already more popular than their own oppars. Sure you might read tons of comments on Netizenbuzz from teenage girls claiming to have never heard of Growl but netizen comments are pretty irrelevant a lot of the time(both Korean and international comments). Growl deserved song of the year at the Melon Music Awards because the song legitimately did extremely well on Melon. I mean Beast just won a Bonsang and MV of the year I think? It's not that crazy. Idk what the criteria for MV of the year was, I imagine a lot of fan voting or something. It's funny because Shadow doesn't even have that many views and yet Cube still got caught for cheating with the video's view count on youtube. Bonsang kinda expected so its w/e really. If you want to talk about something crazy then talk about them winning artist of the year for the past 2 years in the MMA's. Obviously Fiction and Fact was deserving of such a thing (even then though the sales weren't even anything special on the album) but them winning it in 2012 was just hilarious. And who could deserve the award more than SHINee? If you add up their sales (Gaon song download sales since melon isn't available, but they are pretty much the same thing) then they are in the top 5 for artists this year (not including all their album sales, which was quite a fair amount more than their competition), and fan voting was also 20% of the score, and among other artists that sold as much as SHINee, SHINee has a bigger fanbase than those that were nominated. They also worked incredibly hard (I mean they aren't known as the hardest working/most professional idols for no reason) with their 3 Korean albums this year. Sure WSS and Everybody isn't their best work but they still had tons of amazing songs released on their albums this year and the albums were all top notch overall. This award is from over 5 years of hard work, awarding them for not just Dream Girl, WSS, and Everybody, but also all their other hits over the years. There really wasn't much of a reason for them to lose this year. | ||
