To ensure this thread won't be closed, you must adhere to several a number of simple rules;
Please use spoilers when quoting a post with pictures and/or videos.
When posting large quantities of media (pictures or videos), please begin spoilering after the first piece. Grouping related videos in the same spoilers & labeling is recommended.
No reposting of old material unless justified
Posting any material with little or no relevent discussion accompanying it
No passion-induced flaming of each other because 'x said y sucked' etc.
Keep the expression hate of music individuals/groups to a minimal level
No 'pagetopping' in any form whatsoever, as it constitutes spam equal to posts similar to 'first'.
No vulgar fan fics or wet dream stories. It is creepy, weird, and it dehumanizes the people who you are here to celebrate/discuss.
Normal posting standards that you find throughout the rest of the site still apply and will be enforced more strictly from here forward (2012/03/11)
Due to the poor nature of this thread in the past, temporary two-day bans will occur more than often if people slip up.
There was some thing about the new piracy law in Japan causing a massive drop in legit sales (download sales), but I don't know how legit the article was.
Also Japanese CD music prices are crazy. You can get an imported Korean CD album (including all the extras) for like 1500~2000jpy, or a Japanese album (from the same artist) in regular CD case for more like 2500~3000jpy. So Korean SNSD/KARA is much cheaper than the Japanese release. Makes you wonder why anyone would buy the Jap release anyway unless they really want to listen to the amazing lyrics that come with kpop songs in their native language. Korean import "singles" (mini albums) are like 800~1300jpy or so, in their usual crazy packaging, and Japanese singles (2 or 3 tracks usually) in normal case are a similar amount.
From my experience of Tower Records and similar in Japan.

Just because it sounds terrible to you and other members in this thread doesn't mean it sounds terrible to the rest of the world/Korea/Japan. Almost every release gets number 1 single or album in digital sales.
Its because they are snsd, not because the music is good.
So it's either SNSD has an unbelievable fan-base in Japan that even though the music is terrible it can still rank number 1 single/album OR the music isn't as bad as you make it out to be. Either one disproves what Wei2cool said in his previous statement of SNSD having the 5 year girl group disease etc.
Music will sell no matter how bad it is if the group is popular enough, it doesnt only go for snsd. Arguing that something has to be good because it sells well is silly.
Yes I very well know that, but my response was a reply to Wei2's comment on SNSD having the supposed 5 year lifespan when very clearly they aren't even close to it. Look, I love SNSD; but I'll agree Flower Power was terrible (for me anyway). But they've also released a whole bunch of awesome Japanese songs.
I was just being facetious.
Probably why half the people in this thread hate seeing you post here.
Nah trolling or whatnot is all well and good I just don't like him because his jokes are never funny
I think we should add a little paragraph to the sidebar or some pastebin link so that every time arguments like this come up we have boilerplate sentences to just copy/paste, like "Opinions are opinions" and "sales != musical quality" and shit like that, so that everytime these arguments come up we can just post that shit immediately instead of waiting for someone with sense to say it.
Intelligent trolling is all well and good, but that wasn't intelligent trolling. That was just taking a cheap shot at a group he doesn't like and the comment wasn't needed at all.
Yeah lol, should be a pastebin link in the notice part of the thread up top with all the common responses to many things that incite arguments.
Well that's assuming I don't like SNSD. You sure are reaching.

A C cup is smaller than you think. The average cup size in America is a D. Obviously there are lots of factors that go into that average, but the average American thinks an actual D cup is really a B or something like that. It's really only relative to your chest circumference. Basically to add on to what Dyst said.
Ooh yeah Primary isn't half bad. Actually it might be half bad, depending on your taste, but I think most of the songs are great.

Wait aren't sizes like a universal thing..? Why do Americans always have to start their own system...fucking dumb
