To ensure this thread won't be closed, you must adhere to several a number of simple rules;
Please use spoilers when quoting a post with pictures and/or videos.
When posting large quantities of media (pictures or videos), please begin spoilering after the first piece. Grouping related videos in the same spoilers & labeling is recommended.
No reposting of old material unless justified
Posting any material with little or no relevent discussion accompanying it
No passion-induced flaming of each other because 'x said y sucked' etc.
Keep the expression hate of music individuals/groups to a minimal level
No 'pagetopping' in any form whatsoever, as it constitutes spam equal to posts similar to 'first'.
No vulgar fan fics or wet dream stories. It is creepy, weird, and it dehumanizes the people who you are here to celebrate/discuss.
Normal posting standards that you find throughout the rest of the site still apply and will be enforced more strictly from here forward (2012/03/11)
Due to the poor nature of this thread in the past, temporary two-day bans will occur more than often if people slip up.

Just because it sounds terrible to you and other members in this thread doesn't mean it sounds terrible to the rest of the world/Korea/Japan. Almost every release gets number 1 single or album in digital sales.
Its because they are snsd, not because the music is good.
So it's either SNSD has an unbelievable fan-base in Japan that even though the music is terrible it can still rank number 1 single/album OR the music isn't as bad as you make it out to be. Either one disproves what Wei2cool said in his previous statement of SNSD having the 5 year girl group disease etc.
Music will sell no matter how bad it is if the group is popular enough, it doesnt only go for snsd. Arguing that something has to be good because it sells well is silly.
Yes I very well know that, but my response was a reply to Wei2's comment on SNSD having the supposed 5 year lifespan when very clearly they aren't even close to it. Look, I love SNSD; but I'll agree Flower Power was terrible (for me anyway). But they've also released a whole bunch of awesome Japanese songs.

I was just being facetious.
Probably why half the people in this thread hate seeing you post here.
Crayon Pop performance was sooooooooooooooooooo good. I think they could lose the orange tracksuits, replace them with something more normal and still be able to do the high kick and have the cute backpacks but seriously that performance was awesome. and cameraman was eye raping ellin and gummi
son dam bi i swear so many of these korean idols and actresses reach the age of 30 and suddenly become paragons of perfection
Girl's Day is the only performance from Music Core that didn't get taken down. Somehow slipped by even when other videos from the same channel were taken down.

Nah trolling or whatnot is all well and good I just don't like him because his jokes are never funny
I think we should add a little paragraph to the sidebar or some pastebin link so that every time arguments like this come up we have boilerplate sentences to just copy/paste, like "Opinions are opinions" and "sales != musical quality" and shit like that, so that everytime these arguments come up we can just post that shit immediately instead of waiting for someone with sense to say it.

Intelligent trolling is all well and good, but that wasn't intelligent trolling. That was just taking a cheap shot at a group he doesn't like and the comment wasn't needed at all.
Yeah lol, should be a pastebin link in the notice part of the thread up top with all the common responses to many things that incite arguments.
How about some music instead of dumb shit. Here is a teaser that I don't think was posted yet.
And no it's not the chick in the video singing(JiYoon), it's the one with usually long black hair GaYoon. Since no one seem to be able to know who is who in here
After 3(4?) years 4minute is still HyunA and friends to me. The only other chick I know is their main singer because she's the one who things screaming her notes=being a strong singer. I fucking hate her. I don't know her name though because 4minute names are confusing as fuck. Jiyoon/Jihyun and whatnot. One of them shoulda taken a fucking stagename.

CD Sales in Japan in general are supposedly dropping quite a bit across the board, not just exclusively with korean singers. It's gotten to the point where Japan has started unleashing some rather harsh, dark age laws against pirating and facilitation of pirating media
Which honestly probably doesn't help anything, I pirate shitloads of music but 80% of the music I pirate I'd never actually buy and the other 20% I buy the music to support the artists afterwards or whatnot.
Although ofc it may be different in Japan/I may be an outlier. But I'd have never bought all the korean CDs or digital albums I have if I hadn't started pirating vast amounts of music.
