Keep in mind that there's normal scale of hotness for girls, then there's kpop scale for girls, people think Hyo's "ugly" because she's on the bottom end of the kpop scale, not because she's uglier then normal girls.

We should make a "bottom-of-K-Pop-hotness-chart" including the suggested least smexy member of each group and put it at the first post of this thread with a huge disclaimer that goes something like "This is your new low. Be prepared to have your view on girls ruined like at least fifty percent of the active posters here"

I'd be lying if I said that I was attracted to Hyoyeon when I first saw her. I had always thought of her last in the ranks of Soshi, always the last one to tag on Tumblr, and I didn't really post much of her anyways. She never really had any type of exposure outside of performances, variety shows, ect. I didn't want to "like" her because I was feeling pity for the fact she had the least fans. There wasn't really much to go with you know?

However, Hyoyeon never really showed this as a weakness. She talked about how she was nicknamed Princess Fiona and even laughed that one off. She always worked hard with her dances/dance break, albeit not really necessary in a song, you can tell she was giving it her all. She spoke on Strong Heart about how she at one point wanted to leave SNSD because she never thought would be dancing with lollipops with a cutesy image. I can tell that this whole girl-like image is not her. Shoot, one of her closest friends predebut was Min from miss A, and everyone knows that Min is a wild child, lol.

Now, she's been a couple of variety shows, showing her fun side and such. Always that one quirky girl in the bunch. In Invincible Youth 2 she slowly found her spot and didn't have to lean on Sunny anymore. She also shined on Dancing With the Stars. Her name is known and it's because she kept working hard and never let anyone bring her down.

She might not have the best looks compared to other idols, but I like her because of her nature. She never let anyone slow her down or allowed herself to quit. She's definitely an independent lady. Her charms make up for anything she lacks in my book.

That's my two cents.

Wsup massive sone here, been following snsd since their debut. Pani and Taeyeon are my favorite members, and Hyoyeon is ugly.

Although shes gotten a lot better recently, I'd still bag it.

Also, Moonwrath probably going to call me a fake sone, I remember him saying a while back "Love each member unconditionally" or something like that. Sry I own every album, repackage, dvd, photobook and poster of them so if I'm not a sone then I don't know what to call myself.

I can see how people like her though, it's not like I'm going to tell people they have bad taste in women though. People hate my Pani, and I know there are better looking idols, but I still think shes #1.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion about who is hot and who is not. A lot of the problems that Hyoyeon had where with outfits/hair styles that made her look a lot worse. Recently she has been looking much better because she has been getting better wardrobes and hair styles. If you compare her to the best looking idols then your views on her would be different than comparing her to normal girls.

One of the few. Eunkyo of 5dolls (spoiler for reference but I strongly suggest you don't open) is the other that I think of when I think of idols who are uglier than hot girls I know irl.
