I think it's probably between T-ara and f(x), just judging by how well Roly Poly did. Cry Cry hasn't done nearly as well though, and F(x) has done better on a more consistent basis, just because there are large groups of fans out there who love SM as a company and not just individual groups, which makes no sense to me but w/e. All of their songs have done incredibly well and every member has a pretty loyal following which even groups like WG and Kara don't have. Miss A has done well but not nearly as well as the other two, and AS as far as I remember hasn't had a really huge hit song in awhile. edit- @darkcloud you are vastly underestimating how popular KARA is. I think that they don't get as much play here anymore (other than Tuelite and nicole) cause they're doing shit in Japan, but they're still one of the largest fanbases out there. I would almost definitely say they're bigger than 2ne1 in Korea/Japan (2ne1 has a huge western fanbase for whatever reason). also completely forgot about HyunA...not 4minute cause I think Hyuna as a solo star is much bigger now, especially after bubble pop. Still doesn't break top 5 but if you're going to mention Miss A, AS, etc. she definitely hangs with those groups in terms of popularity. | ||

edit- it's also interesting cause I think that with CCM focusing so much on individual shit I'd say that Eunjung and maybe Jiyeon for sure are more popular as individuals than pretty much everyone in WG. Jiyeon for sure would have been but she's never been as popular as she was pre-sextape. She's regained some of that popularity but I'm not too sure anymore. WG is big but I think a by-product of spending almost all their time in the states is that the lack of non-musical appearances in Korea really hurt them, especially after Sunmi left and Hyelim has basically done nothing, whereas all the groups that stayed behind are focusing more and more on individual/unit promotions, acting, etc. that while groups are less popular there are people in each group that are extremely popular- I mentioned Hyuna before as a good example of this. | ||

Step, Rider and 따라와 from the STEP album are all definitely in their top 10 best songs. In my opinion Step is their all time best. The energy and the passion when they perform it on stage is unmatched by any other song. Especially in their first few live performances, at the beginning of their comeback, shit was ill. The quality of it as a song is also munch better, the music and the lyrics are great (for a KPop up-tempo single that is). I do think sales is more telling though cause the process for choosing awards on those shows is half sales and half crazy fangirl voting. | ||

Not trying to sound like a hater but I'm genuinely curious as to what you're listening to so much. I liked Huh and Mirror Mirror to some extent but that's pretty much it...that ad song they did freestyle was IMO better than anything they put out before which is insane seeing as it's an ad for an MMO. | ||
