Please use spoilers when quoting a post with pictures and/or videos.
When posting large quantities of media (pictures or videos), please begin spoilering after the first piece. Grouping related videos in the same spoilers & labeling is recommended.
No reposting of old material unless justified
Posting any material with little or no relevent discussion accompanying it
No passion-induced flaming of each other because 'x said y sucked' etc.
Keep the expression hate of music individuals/groups to a minimal level
No 'pagetopping' in any form whatsoever, as it constitutes spam equal to posts similar to 'first'.
No vulgar fan fics or wet dream stories. It is creepy, weird, and it dehumanizes the people who you are here to celebrate/discuss.
Normal posting standards that you find throughout the rest of the site still apply and will be enforced more strictly from here forward (2012/03/11)
Due to the poor nature of this thread in the past, temporary two-day bans will occur more than often if people slip up.

tbh, taking kids away from their parents at that age should be considered as a crime but the price paying off is higher than lottery many many times. What are your thoughts on this matter? :-( I noticed how my aunt and uncle is training my cousins the same way and im really worried for them T_T
I don't see what's the difference between idol training and any other form of musical training. Most North American Asians can play the piano casually and we all started playing at a young age; most of us drop it at one point cuz it's boring as shit. The ones that make a career out of music just went hard on the mother fucking practice.
they take kids away from parents and put them in dorm and such since elementary.... O_O
Dorming at a young age mostly only happens for the ones that aren't from Seoul. Groups start dorming together mid-late teens, a few years prior to debut.
It's like if you got into the Glenn Gould school in Toronto but you're from Thunderbay or somewhere up north. Is your whole family going to move with you to Toronto? Doubt it. Your family probably can't financially support the whole family moving anyway.
Pretty much. The ones that can commute (like SHINee Minho in the neighbouring city of Incheon) will take the bus into Seoul etc.
People like Taeyeon who live 4-5 hours south moves into SM dorms and changes schools etc. Moving in together as a group only starts when they're preparing for debut.

Your post is creeping me out more than Smiley Jiyeon.
Continuing the topic of creepiness. DAT GAZE <3 I hereby surrender all worldly wants I may have in this life in place of being able to watch my Boram-sshi from behind a one-way mirror. Wealth, women, and weapons, all are meaningless compared to my pursuit for Boramvana.
- Korean managers, best managers. Hope Sojin's health issue isn't too serious.
