Destroying his career for a single mistake like this is fucking communist shit, i really wouldn't care if this country was overtaken by north korea now, they probably deserve it.
He destroyed his career himself. No one made him drink and drive. If he wants to be a dumb shit, it's his own fault, and he deserves everything he gets. Would you have such sympathy for him if he'd killed someone?
Yeah so even though there are laws for people to pay for their crimes, its ok for society to do the same and penalize people for their crimes that they had already suffered for, isn't it?

He chose to have a career in that sort of area, where such additional repercussions may apply. If someone in a particular line of work does something dumb, and they should know better, and they get punished because of their stupidity, it's their own fault. He's in the public eye and he screwed up, those are the risks. It could apply to many other jobs as well. A taxi driver, for example (like the one he hit).

Well as much as im against it, i guess their ideals have there own rights. But one thing that bugs me is that koreans are so strict as to take even 1 mistake seriously (this guy had no previous criminal record), but at the same time, people like the current CEO of DSP (no qualifications to be a CEO) exist and nothing is done about it. And i am not concluding that koreans are strict over this single incident, i've read other news where similar harsh penalties are given.

What's so harsh about that? DUI isn't something to be taken lightly. What if everyone that had a "oh I had no previous criminal record" therefore I can get away with my first DUI? Pretty sure there be a lot more dead innocents.
Edit: Don't want to get blasted for adding no actual discussion. I found that scene interesting because I hadn't considered BoxeR to be the same type of entertainer as the idols and performers elsewhere on that stage. Do you think it's possible for another progamer to make themselves into such a production, or is it unique to his timing in the development of ESPORTS?

Well other progamers came out in programs like this. Its not common but it does happen. Like Nada in that dating show. I know yellow and reach came out in star golden bell before too.

This isn't something unique about Korea's hyper-conservative outward appearance; it happens all over the world.
