They actually showed Akiko being hit by the car? That was pretty brutal. I thought KyoAni shows were happy I always figured that Nayuki would get shafted by the ending, but man. I thought she would kill herself. Judging by the preview of the next ep, she might go yandere. + Show Spoiler +Oh, I remember that scene. At least there wasn't a blood smear or anything. <_<
Nayuki is the worst girl. Period. + Show Spoiler +Yeah. The KyoAni shows may have sad moments, but I didn't think they'd show a person getting run over by a car like that. I mean really >.>
And I just finished 22. LOL. When Yuuichi was laying on the ground, ready to die, you know how sometimes you'll say that the most ridiculous thing will happen just for comedic effect? I was like "Makoto will come save him!" And then she appeared -_- lol Kyoani has their really depressing moments followed up with cheesy ones. It's just their nature. I think the only depressing scene that I don't remember that happening was Lucky Star. OMFG, I almost had manly tears. Yeah, Kanon got real cheesy after ep 10 :/

+ Show Spoiler +IMO, it was just more shock that a depiction of that happened in a KyoAni show more than anything else.

Another note: Dai Mahou Touge, was such a funny anime =P

+ Show Spoiler [Kanon END] +That was kinda dumb, IMO. Everyone just gets the magic dust sprinkled all over them and everything is happy.
Akiko fully recovered. Even though they beat us over the head that Shiori was gonna die, she fully recovered. Mai and Sayuri had "quicker than expected" recoveries. -_-
And Ayu was just like Fuuko, except not as good and she actually woke up.
Yuuichi was fine. He wasn't the best male lead I've seen, but he wasn't bad either.
Mai>Shiori>Ayu>Makoto>=Nayuki
Now I will watch Angel Beats!. Don't disappoint me again, Maeda.

Mai.....is the best one?
Oh waiitt...she was sword girl.
Yeah, I agree....though I ended up liking Ayu more then Shiori. Don't remember why. Agreed with everything else though.
And Angel Beats!....Uh....yeah sorry man. It was REALLY good IMO, but it was too underdeveloped to ring full satisfaction...so iono...

Don't disappoint me again, Maeda. + Show Spoiler [Kanon] +Yeah, the ending is typical Key "everyone is magically better" ending. At least the stuff in between usually makes up for it. + Show Spoiler [Air] +Although at the end of Air, I was like "WTF she actually died? <_< Makoto's arc wasn't terrible, but it was dragged out for so long it was painful. I had the same problem with Fuuko's arc in Clannad. Shiori I didn't particularly like as a character, but I thought the ending to her arc was fantastic. Mai's arc was just excellent in general (plus I got more ahaha~), and Ayu's was fairly mediocre.
I've got nothing to say about Nayuki.
Yuuichi isn't particularly good or bad as a protagonist. In terms of Key works, Tomoya still reigns supreme (imo) because of After Story.

Angel Beats! made me like it, then stop liking it, then like it again, then love it, then
+ Show Spoiler + dislike it. If I could go back stop myself from watching the epilogue, I would, because my impression of the story was a lot cooler before I saw them cheese out with that happily ever after ending.

Fuuko's arc was way too long, I agree. But I didn't really mind since we got more cute loli D: Shiori's ending was just perfect for her character, IMO. Loved it.

+ Show Spoiler +The ending of AIR made me a bit angry, but not really in a bad way. I just wished everything would of worked out. it just leads you to believe that it'll work out in the future or something dumb.
Tomaya is one of the best male leads of any show in my opinion.

+ Show Spoiler +Well...I guess you do find out that what's basically happening is the events happen over and over again in terms of some guy looking for a girl in the sky.
Tomoya was good I have to admit. Him and Sunohara are hilarious. xD

Tomaya is one of the best male leads of any show in my opinion. + Show Spoiler [Air] +Despite the intial WTF factor, I liked the end because everything didn't magically fix itself. I guess you could consider it a "happy" ending as well because the eternal damnation curse or whatever was broken. The two kids at the end who were hinted to be reincarnations of the MCs was also quite nice. And then they revealed that it was in the logo all along and I was like O.o
What I didn't really like was how long it took me to figure out what was going on in the final scenes. Talk about a vague ending. =/ Comparing Tomoya to other MCs is almost unfair since After Story is such a good slice of life. The way his character develops is just so realistic that its hard not to empathize with him as he experiences various successes and defeats.

In general I think protagonists (and characters in general) that don't act 10 years under their listed age are pretty decent. The issue is that for some reason in japanese anime culture this is an incredibly difficult thing to pull off.

Most hilarious end ever.
Just finished Angel Beats! 1. This is like the greatest idea ever. And Hanazawa Kana :3
I really hope that it stays this excellent. But it seems that it doesn't

IIRC there's a similar ending in Little Busters if you keep playing the muscles game with Makoto or something. I never bothered since I was trying to powerlevel the MC in the fighting game though.
+ Show Spoiler [Yumekui Merry 26] +So where do we go from here? We know that Merry is the gatekeeper, but like she said, she can't send herself back. There's still the matter of the scar on her arm as well.
John is badass. He's found a vessel, huh? If I had to take a guess, I'd say its the poet guy. I would otherwise assume Isana, but they don't really seem compatible.
Pretty good chapter.

Oh, one other thing about Angel Beats!: These Key characters look normal!
...Kinda sad that that's remarkable.

...Kinda sad that that's remarkable. That's probably because PA Works did it, and there was no need to base characters off existing images from a VN since it was an original work.

Seriously, the first two eps of Angel Beats! have been god tier shit so far. I'm in love~
