Also, does it lower the quality from the computer to the TV with it? I have a Vizio. 42" LCD. I didn't buy the cord, so I don't know how much it was. I'm sorry :x It looks fine on the TV. There may be a bit of a difference because of the size discrepancy, but I haven't really noticed it. I was just wondering if I had to find a different one for different TVs without having to google it or ask someone at bestbuy Careful about asking people at Best Buy. Some of the employees there have no idea what they're talking about -_- I don't know anything about anything, so I'm gonna trust them over me There are three main ways to hook up your computer to your tv. The first is by VGA cable. This is the cable that goes goes from your computer tower to your monitor - a lot of tvs nowadays also have this input. The second is s-video. Not all computers or tvs will have this input. The third option is hdmi. These inputs are practically standard on high def tvs these days. Chances are good that your computer won't have it unless you have a decent graphics card though. Quality-wise, hdmi is the best since the signal is digital. Still, vga and s-video look fine. Also bear in mind that the resolution supported by most tvs nowadays is generally lower than that of a good computer monitor. Cables are fucking expensive. If you can wait, it's probably best to buy them from ebay or something since they're way cheaper. For hdmi cables, get the cheapest one you can find. More expensive cables won't improve quality since the signal is already digital. While cable quality will affect how your picture looks for vga and s-video, it's still not a huge deal. Cheap cables work fine. Oh, and make sure that your computer and tv both have the proper inputs/outputs or you're just going to be wasting your time looking at cables. Thanks, my TV/Computer both have VGA so that'd probably be the route I'd go. I might not even care about converting the shows if I DL them before the night before and convert while at work, but I get pretty lazy.

Agreed, but it's not like the author of IS can COMPLETELY ripoff SRW.

Whoever edits for Nutbladder really took a shit on Madoka this week lol. I normally don't notice errors, but in the first 5 minutes there has been "BEcause" and "Dion't".

The main mech in that is more or less a Super Robot version of the Alteisen. Very good show, I recommend.

Yes, it was full of typos this week. But I think the Nutbladder guy had an exam at the same day, which led to the late release too. Even with the mistakes it is still better than anything gg did.

I spent all that time convert that fucking episode then I go to watch it on my ps3 and the subtitles are now gone. Fuck.

No, as far as I know they checked their script for typos. But there is no reason at all to encode Madoka 7 as a 700 MB file and with these h264 settings for example.
Do you want a fixed subtitle file for the Nutbladder release?

I'll just wait for a v2. I didn't know you were referring to GG's bloated size. I was more or less refering to translation and editing, and Nutbladder did a really piss poor job this week.

The quote from the release is funny in an ironic way:
Goddamn I’m exhausted. But the witch fight this ep uses my absolute favorite artistic technique, so I wanted it to be as perfect as possible~

I still went ahead and fixed the few typos in the script: http://www.mediafire.com/?0fxffk3x8eg2o4t
I'm not sure if they will publish a v2, but it shouldn't be too hard to use the fixed subs or simply remux a v2 for your own use.
Edit: ^^^ The release note on the site refers to the encoding and video quality, which is in fact excellent.

You forgot to mention that there is also another port that is seen, albeit quite rarely: DisplayPort.
Also, TVs are NOT lower resolution than your computer in most cases. If you have an HDTV capable of 720p, it runs at 1280x720, which is basically what a 17 inch 16: 9 monitor runs natively (my laptop is 16:10 and runs at 1280x800). An HDTV running at 1080p runs the resolution 1920x1080, which is actually higher than most screens run at unless your looking at 21 or 24 inch screens. Generally speaking anyway.
A friend of mine has hooked his computer up to his 42 inch LCD TV using a VGA cord, and it looks fine. Actually, at 1080p everything is too small to read, even on a screen that size.
Also, Madoka 7 was crazy. It's definitely the best show this season. Although I have to say I like the direction that Gosick has taken.

On the topic of cables, remember there is basically no such thing as a "high end" cable cheapest is usually the way to go. Also if you buy hdmi please to goddobt get an hdmi/ethernet cable , my friend did this and he is now know as the group retard (we have a group of nerds)
edit: how much u guys pay for an hdmi cable? i got a 1.5m one today for $15 the most expensive i saw was $80 at Harvey Norman, so do shop around, big retailers always rip u off on cables

I started Index for no particular reason and I (like the most of you, if not all) hate people who can't think. Why can't people be rational? But then there are plenty of morons in real life so...

this might be abit late but the pronunciation KYOU can be 'created' using more than just one kanji, it can be pronounced the same but it be written with different kanji, thus have different meanings.
