You might like Code Geass and Darker than Black. I heard SSS sucked. That's why I've never watched it. =/
Code Geass and Darker than Black are good recommendations. You might also try Black Lagoon.
Edit: The Connect beatmap in Osu is kicking my ass. Edit 2: + Show Spoiler [LoGH 77-78] +Haha, the most powerful man in the universe hates oversized statues. This is so weird it's hilarious. ![[image loading]](http://imgur.com/yefi4.jpg) WTF. I'm almost tempted to make a gif of this. Also, lol at Cazellnu spying on Julian. + Show Spoiler [LoGH 79-80] +Fahrenheit It was kinda dumb how the empire forces kept getting surrounded. I mean, of course you're going to be surrounded if you charge into the center of their formation. -_- lol, even Attenborough is aware of how often they use the "pretend to run away" tactic. Man, they really pay attention to their gore. They even had the pool of blood boiling.
You know how they have to walk over that electrified metal beam in Kaiji? How exactly does that work? Electricity flows through the path of least resistance. If it were strong enough to be able to travel through a person, then through the air to the ground, wouldn't it already be sending arcs of electricity through the air? Oh well, artistic license I guess.

I though the Arm Slaves were absolutely awesome, and were a waste on a half serious, half light hearted show like FMP! Sosuke still makes me cry when I think just how dense he is. I absolutely hate characters like him, like I've mentioned numerous times before. Gauron was such a little bitch-cockroach that just wouldn't die, making hating him very easy, which made him a very good villain. In retrospect, the missions were good and exciting (the Helmijistan mission was my favourite) and when you finally swallow your pride and acknowledge this show for it's comedic value and for what it is, you can really start enjoying it. + Show Spoiler [Fumoffu!!!] + Well, here I was already prepared for the humor which made enjoying this a lot easier. I loved how the little Bonta-kun trained mafia to fight and needed a freaking translator xD. Overall it was awesome. Probably best of the 3. + Show Spoiler [The Second Raid] + Well to start it off, I liked the darker atmosphere it had than the 2 previous seasons. A dark, brooding Sosuke with problems was like a godsend for me. Although it lacked my favourite parts from the previous seasons dubbed by me the "Tesstarossa episodes". I also find many plot holes in this season. Not only plot holes, but also loose ends. The ending wasn't exactly my taste either. I would have preferred an open ending, uncertainty or just straight up a bad ending. The battles, the plot and the pace also seemed subpar to season 1. Don't get me wrong, it was still worth watching but after the previous 2 productions all I gotta say is: Son, I am disappoint. + Show Spoiler +To be fair, Sosuke spent his whole live as a guerilla/child soldier or a mercenary. It's not like he got to go to school like all the other kids and learn how to socialize with them. At least he's not like those male harem leads who are legit idiots.
That said, he's a total fucking badass. How dare you insult him. Edit: I'm through ep 5 of Fomoffu, and so far it has been nothing but insane laughter. My only complaint is that it has had zero Tessa so far. I am gonna laugh so hard at you when you read A Dancing Very Merry Christmas. @Latham: You gonna read the novels? Because you should. Currently downloading Index 17 just for Misaka/sisters/last order goodness. Misaka is great in all her forms. + Show Spoiler [LN stuff] +Except for her level 4 clones. They seem kinda bitchy.
Yes, I'm going to try and find the LNs today, if any1 has any links to DDLs (or torrents, i dont care) please PM or post here.

I guess they were right: ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/zYvhk.jpg) Funny episode, the sisters are great. Still far too much Touma for me. Edit: The girl on my Kyuubey picture is Saya from Saya no Uta. No wonder I didn't recognize her. I started playing Saya no Uta not too long ago, but haven't gotten very far. The whole "do you want to censor disturbing graphics?" thing made me kinda leery. And then the first screen is nightmare fuel. -_- I fully expect the screens/descriptions to get worse as the story progresses just based off the VN's reputation lol.
I dropped Saya no Uta half way D: It was just disturbing. I still wanted to keep what little innocence I had left before.

Also can someone suggest something else to watch? So far at the top of the list of what I've seen and enjoyed are Clannad, Full metal panic (all three seasons), Full metal alchemist (both brotherhood and the other), and Deathnote, I'm currently looking for something more action oriented than slice of life, but I'm open to almost anything.
Like people have suggested, you should try Code Geass, Gantz, Shangri-La (maybe) etc. The second season of GitS is a little bit worse than S1. The plot is "heavier" (less easy to get into, not so much action based, more thinking based), but it's gits afterall, it's still worth the watch. Try Baccano! or Durarara! if you haven't yet.

man, GOSICK is such a good anime... it has a little bit of everything and a wonderfull ED song x) I could see this anime run at least 2 more seasons just as xxxHolic.
Any info on when the alternative ending of Ore no imotou coming out?

Lucky for you, I'm in a good mood, so I'll upload them for you.
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/4718/Full Metal Panic.rar This has novels 4-12 plus a couple translated side stories I managed to find. IIRC, none of these side stories were in Fumoffu.
You can skip the two Ending Day by Day novels if you watched TSR. I think the translations for Continuing on My Own and Approaching Nick of Time were kinda on the rough side, but comprehension wasn't a huge issue.
+ Show Spoiler [lolwut] +![[image loading]](http://imgur.com/Q0Tub.jpg) On a different note, a confession by chapter 15? I approve.

Nice. I spent a few hours yesterday compiling a similar archive and linked it to him (and Ferrose) right now. Yours has more side stories included, but mine has books 4-12 in single PDFs and not splitted by chapter.

Kara no Kyoukai Epilogue is the most perfect anime I have ever watched.

my God I remember watching the first episode and going: wtf is going on here? I had absoluteley no idea what was going on until like epsiode 15-16ish. And I was still unsure to certain things after the last episode. Only reason I actually finished the show even though being completely confused was due to the awesome name of the train.
|
you should watch the first ga-rei zero episode, that will confuse you ^^
|
First episode of Ga Rei Zero doesn't really confuse you as much as it makes you go "Wait, did that just happen?" Best first episode ever IMO.

Its been used several times in the show to good effect, its just not a perfect strategy. Like breaking through the middle of your opponent could be a crippling move if pulled off successfully. But if your opponent sees it coming, it can lead to getting surrounded, or at least flanked. Plus, both Bittenfeld AND Fahrenheit specialize in offensive attack stragey, so it made them a big easier to read.
Bittenfeld doesn't know the meaning of restraint though, lol. Its practically his job to just charge in and get surrounded!

been there watched that that shit was even more confusing. both the first episodes in Ga-rei Zero actually made me go: wtf just happened? and then the show continued as a completely meh show.
|
You thought Ga Rei Zero was 'meh'? Really? I thought Ga Rei Zero was excellent.

Something I've noticed is that you can figure out how a character is going to act/their role in the show just by the VA (this is something I noticed with JP voices only, since I don't know much about the dubbing side )
IE: Norio wakamoto will more than likely be the villain(though he's been cast as a gag/mascot character multiple times with huge success Rie Kugimiya will more than likely be a tsundere female love interest, Daisuke Ono will more than likely be a headstrong protagonist
These kind of archetypes while they obviously fit those roles(or else they wouldn't have been casted in the first place) kind of spoil the story : ((

He turned a nerdy character like Hirano in Highschool of the Dead, and turned him into the best character in the show with his voice acting alone. Best casting decision in anime of the decade.

Thats cause hes freaking Joe Higashi man, Joe is the captain of badassery. SCREW UPPAAAAAAAAAAAAAA (don't forget he's Link also)
|
+ Show Spoiler [Index 17] +lolwtf at the ending of that episode. The OP is not that impressive, though I do get excited towards the end of it. To be honest, the series itself is just becoming that show that I sort of don't feel like watching, but end up doing anyway just for the laughs.
Even Misaka is starting to lose her charm....but I guess Kuroko is someone that I wouldn't mind watching more of.

I've been watching Tenjou Tenge. It's something I saw... I think 2episodes some years back, but never gave it a chance. It's actually pretty entertaining.

Its just those 2 things left a bad taste in my mouth.

And Noto Mamiko will probably be a shy girl who doesn't talk much

+ Show Spoiler [Madoka 5] +Kyubey, that furry evil little creature! D:
I wonder what kyubey gets from forming contracts with Mahou Shojou's that he'll do almost anything.
And what he said about homura intrigues me, especially as she tried to kill kyubey.
