I'm betting that Gauron survived though. That guy is way too resilient.
Now to watch Fomoffu!. Fumoffu is great. It doesn't have any real story arc, it's just a random mix of episodes with the same good old characters. Despite that it's funny and entertaining. Even better than Season 1, IMO. I'm about to start the second raid.
Fumoffu! is the best of the three, I love the rugby episode! Second raid is less humor/more drama and came second after fumoffu!

Fomoffu and season two are made by KyoAni? O_o
|
Yep, they made both Fumoffu and the Second Raid. And they were received pretty well too. Its a shame that KyoAni doesn't really care to make any future seasons.
|
How far does season two go into the LNs? I'm sure that there's still plenty more source material to use for a third season : /
Fomoffu! is pretty damn awesome so far:

+ Show Spoiler +Live ammo had no effect.... Live ammo had no effect....
Also, there is PLENTY of material for more seasons, plus the LNs are done now. Its just KyoAni would rather make things like Lucky Star and K-On! than FMP.

I haven't seen K-ON!, but we're not getting more FMP partly because of Lucky Star? Even more reason to hate it ;_;

I hope you dont mean that serious.

But I'd much rather have more FMP, since IMO its KyoAni's best series.
edit: How dare you say you hate Lucky Star! This means war. Don't you know that people are only allowed to hate mecha?

there have been rumors of hollywood making a FMP live action movie which would be terrible.
K-on to me was a good anime to turn off your brain to watch the pictures moving around which is what I did for its two seasons.

You're right, I'm sorry. Mecha is shit too. Especially the super robot sub-genre.
@ marxgarza: FMP live action? All my hopes were gone once I read "Hollywood."

K-ON! Season 1 was good. I stopped halfway through Season 2, though. Something really bugged me in S2. I guess it was less music and too much moe.
Anyway, did anyone here see the Gantz live action movie?? If so, can any1 comment?

Clannad for me was KyoAnis best series so far.
FMP first season was good, FUMOFFU was awesome and second raid felt like a grind to me

From Wikipedia:
A live action film adaptation was announced by Mandalay Pictures in April 2009, with Zac Efron rumored to be attached to the project.[2] Efron has since confirmed a meeting took place regarding the projected but added that the adaptation was unlikely to happen.
Thank God it's unlikely to happen. The series would be ruined for me if Zac Efron played Sousuke. They'd probably have some scrub play Tessa too ;_;

As for KyoAni and FMP, well, the author just finished things up last season, there is another 50ish episodes worth of content out there. Maybe he just hasn't gotten to getting things animated. Maybe.

Nowhere in particular. Someone else was dumping the raw, and I saved that pic because it was funny. I don't actively look for raws since, y'know, I can't read them. <_< Where were they dumping the raw? Might be worth the effort to prowl through that -.-

It was kinda weird how they would go from regular Real-Robot mecha stuff, to the comedy side stories. So Fumoffu was a very good idea of how to implement the side storys, without them being out of place. TSR started out great, but kinda hit a section of grind, but still came out good IMO.

Pacing wasn't an issue because far as the books go, the SS were released either on monthly publications (iirc) one story at a time or collected into a bundle that is sold separately from the main stories. So it kind of just comes down to how well you can reconcile the worldviews between the serious and the funny portions of the stories. FMP has had the best implementation of that far as I have seen so far. But yeah, they definitely need to separate the funnies from the rest with a season of its own. Fumoffu was perfect.
