TLADT discord is Discord.ggFor currently airing anime, please see Anichart.net |
Most of us are watching them. I'm loving Merry (especially the manga), but I dropped Gosick just because the mysteries were bad, IMO.
*sigh* I can't sleep and it's already past four. Looks like I'm gonna stay up all night watching anime. -_-

Nah, I wouldn't say most of us. I think there are like 3-4 people here that watch YM and Gosick. By far the most popular anime from this season is MSMM here on TL. I'm like Ferrose and I prefer the manga, but still watch the anime. I still watch Gosick but the way the mysteries are portrayed, explainted and solved is down right bad. If you ever watched any other mystery anime you'd notice that. I keep up with Gosick only for Victorica's sake.
And what is up with thursday having like 5 shows that I'm watching airing? Is this some kind of conspiracy?!

It's like Thursday timeslots were on clearance or something :x

I don't really think it's fair to say Gosick's mysteries were bad considering it's so early in the season. They're not going to have anything great to show yet.

The first mystery needs to at least be good, to get people into the show. It's kinda a lame copout to justify a show sucking at first by saying "it gets better later."

This spring is kinda lame huh, not many OK-ish shows even :/ Fractale, Gosick, well Index I guess cos I love the music lol..... Infinite Stratos ? -.-

Madoka is actually pretty awesome, I suppose Hourou Musuko is only good when you know the manga. GOSICK is fine as long as you dont expect too much and the female protagonist is enough to keep me hooked

Merry's manga was good. If only they kept continuing it past what...Chapter 7?
Not sure what to watch this season besides Merry. >.>
I guess I'm just here waiting for Kyoani to come out with Nichijou in the Spring. I was reading the manga and it was pretty hilarious....if not completely random like everything else Kyoani makes.

Hey guys, never posted in this thread before, not sure if it's the right place for this or not so if it isn't just ignore this, but I was wondering if you guys would have any suggestions for some different anime's to watch. I'm fairly new to anime so I dont really know of what's good and what's not. The one's ive watched and liked are Code Geass, Fate Stay Night, Death Note, Prince of Tennis (prob only liked cuz im a tennis player), and I just finished Shakugan no Shana which I really liked.
Thanks in advance!

Funny that you say you'll even give Madoka a chance even though that and Hourou Musuko are the only shows that have been consistently good thus far (maybe Kore wa Zombie desu ka?, but I haven't seen it).

They've scanlated up to chapter fourteen now. They're been releasing chapters like crazy for the last week or so; I think the popularity of the anime has finally motivated the scanlators to translate the other volumes

Reinhard will probably eat him alive. And Bagdashu is so goddamn awesome. I love that guy. And regardless of if you like the Rosenritter combat or not, it was necessary in that episode, because it was important character development for Julian to actually fight in an infantry battle. Though I don't know why Poplan was there >.> Not that I don't like Poplan, it's just that he's a fighter pilot. I think the Rosenritter battle was also necessary to develop the Katerose subplot. Since Schenkopp took her off the roster. And lol at the Imperial Troops. "These guys are good. Wait, they're the Rosenritter? RETREAT!" I have to agree with what Sentenal has said time and again though: I'm glad that Yang didn't go, because we got to see awesomeness from everyone else. + Show Spoiler +Nah, as a commander, Reinhard is very understanding. He loses his temper sometimes, but whenever he does, Hilda's there to hold him in check (the new Kircheis ). Heck, Reinhard himself lost to Yang, so I don't think he'll blame Lutz for screwing up. The guy had no chance. Bagdashu doesn't get enough screentime. The guy is seriously awesome. He's a scheming bastard and he doesn't care who knows it. Plus he's so chill all the time. Poplan being there was kinda weird, yeah. I don't know what the rationale is for having him there. The Katerose subplot is kinda dumb, imo. As far as I'm concerned, she's going to man up (lol) and make up with Schenkopp (Well, sorta. More like she won't care so much about what he does anymore. Hard to reason with a man like Schenkopp). Then she'll end up with Julian. + Show Spoiler +Bagdashu needs his own gaiden where he gets to showcase his awesomeness. :D I think that Poplan was at the battle (and probably in almost every scene with Julian from now on) because he has seemed to take on the mentor/older brother role to Julian. And lol at his comment about being a "life affairs counselor for children" when he retires. I wouldn't hire him xD Tomorrow's eps will probably be sad, with the inevitable deaths of Bucock and the bread admiral. I almost don't want to watch : / + Show Spoiler +IMO Bucock and the bread admiral should just join up with Yang.

So I finished off all of the Ayase route, glad to announce that one of the potential ends be Yandere AyaxKiri, another where Aya kills you and then a normal and a happy (spoiled) end. Think I'll work through Kirino routes next, but only slowly.

+ Show Spoiler [LoGH 71 and 72] +Yep, no more Bucock and Trung-Yu. They did pretty damn well though. I hate how every time a competent Alliance admiral fights, he has like 1/10 of the ships that the Empire has. But the times when the Alliance actually has superior numbers (Astate, Amlizter I think), they have retarded commanders who waste them all. And I got a bit irked at Reinhard's BM for not saluting back at Bucock : / BTW, maybe I missed something in an earlier ep, but why was Reuenthal on the Brunhild and not commanding his own fleet? Every time I see Reinhard now, I think of Char. Reinhard needs some badass sunglasses. And Bittenfield needs to be in super robot anime: ![[image loading]](http://imgur.com/qvNEg.png)

Reinhard is overall commander of the fleet. I guess you could say that at his position, he is the strategic level commander. Due to the sheer size of his forces, he can't control them all, so the actual deployment and movements of the fleets are left to each of the Admirals under his command. So Reinhard will tell his admirals "Go attack here!", or "Flank there!", and then Bittenfeld is like "RAWR CHARGE" and dives right into the middle of them. Bucock should have taken his fleet and joined up with Yang. Imagine what they could have done together.

As for the last point, Mittermeyer and Reuenthal talked about what Yang could do if he had an equal number of ships. Even Bucock probably could have won with an equal number of ships. To come that close with 20k ships is seriously impressive. But now Yang really is isolated. And there's still over a full season left. I can't imagine what's gonna happen now.

Mystery: Higurashi When They Cry, Ghost Hunt, GoSick (meh)
Misc/Comedy: Welcome to NHK (very good =D), Special A (sorta drama based), Rozen Maiden (action/drama/comedy and maybe a little mystery)

I can't imagine what's gonna happen now. + Show Spoiler +Bucock's great strength has been picking the place where he fights very well. In both of the major battles he has been in, he made great use of the "terrain" in space. If he had an equal force, I doubt Reinhard would have engaged him where he has in the past.
The series often tries to show a difference between Strategy and Tactics. Its in tactics where the Alliance excels, and you often see Alliance admirals knock around no-name fodder admirals on the Empire's side. But overall, the Reinhard and the Fleet Admirals still have the advantage due to numbers and organization. When those people themselves are the ones commanding on the tactical level, few people can compete with them (pretty much only Yang can).
